  1. [@]exile360 Thank you for answering & your patience, I was very rude and apologize, I hope you will accept; I was very tired and the upgrading/updating stuff of pc's wasn't going smoothly as one might wish for. .... I did as you requested , it came out to be a nice and clean new installation of MalwareBytes Antimalware, (something not so common with other software in my experience). At first sight MB seems to react a lot better than it did, making me happier. I will go on from here, and run the full scans very shortly, and will hope it will protect. setting and naming custom-scans may need some attention, aswell as the sceenrefresh when trying to set a schama; [@]Porthos, Yes I know, and keep it in mind. Thank you too. (attached the logfile "mbst-clean-results.txt") Obliged and regards, Biteater mbst-clean-results.txt
  2. Gathering Logfile with your tool doesn't work , SLOWWWW. These products are just beta, nothing more I did not choose to be an unpaid testing guineapig..... Losing faith here!!
  3. Was forced by MB to switch fro v3 to v4.0.4.49 ; I WANT TO GO BACK TO v.3 !!!! This version is eating my laptops speed. Scanning is so SLOW. Setting scanning schema's doesn't react, have to shut down and restart MB to see any changes., I cannot set simple schema's for once in a couple of hours. A simple partition scan takes more than 4 hours. YAK I didnt ask for to be used as a testing guineapig. I was having a fast and speedy laptop , thats gone now. I WANT TO GO BACK TO v.3 !!!! 4. Thank you, this response came indeed; do you have any idea when the intended update will be ther/here? regards
  5. Hi after my recent upgrade of my PGPencryption-Symantec Encryption Desktop Professional 10.4.2 HF1 to "Symantec Encryption Desktop Professional 10.4.2 MP2" the MBAMservice.exe stops from loading, and my Malwarebytes Premium 3.7.1 v.2839 does not work good. Couldn't work around it myself, so I placed back my backup-system-image to the point where all was okay, working with [Symantec Encryption Desktop Professional 10.4.2 HF1] I hope you can help to find a solution ((ps: this was the first time ever that Malwarebytes had problems with the PGP-Symantec encryption software))
  6. Ooops, this is a bad thing. I was trying to find what this MBARansom does, how it works (like in a black box); this is bad news!!
  7. @AdvancedSetup Thanks. Explains this, bypass this gui and so pointing this path by hand doesn't help too unfortunately. I hope the 64b exclusions will be possible too in the near future for.... => @daledoc1 Want to exclude because mr.Microsoft updates this scanning file very often, and than it scans with a very high priority. Seems it "troubles" or "hinders" the work of other protecting software like MalwareBytes-AntiMalware. This happens very often in the initial restart after microsoft-patch-tuesday. This hindering can result in very very long powering-up time because of the mrt.exe-scanning-activities. Brrr.. Even olderpc's seems to get stuck permanently. One of the few or only remedies is updating these files by file (cold boots in between) and excluding this for instance mrt.exe in the non-microsoft software ... OR (not preferably) disabling (some of) this non-microsoft-security to get the updates done within a "reasonable" time. By the way... good forum, regards Biteater
  8. Hi. I cannot exclude from scanning c:\windows\system32\mrt.exe in "malware exclusions", MB-aw just doesn't "see" this file. Peculiar; file seems to be normal... Anyone knows how to solve this? Thanks and greetings Biteater
