  1. I hit remove on Mbam - said 18 detections were successfully removed. Restarted computer and ran Mbam again. No threats detected - scan results attached. Have run FRST and attached those files as well. Still can't access ESET via Firefox or IE. Should I run ESET overnight (in 11 hours time)? MbamScan20150506-02.txt Addition.txt FRST.txt
  2. I've just run Mbam and it detected Sathurbot many locations. I have attached scan results. Will now try to remove them. MbamScan20150506.txt
  3. It's loading more quickly now and so far no messages from Malwarebytes. However, I can't load the ESET website, or any other page of their website, including their online scanner page, on Firefox or IE but I can access them via Chrome.
  4. I forced the computer to close and delighted that Windows restarted - I chose to run in Safe Mode with Networking. Will leave the computer running in this state. The fixlog was there so I have attached it. Fixlog.txt
  5. FRST is still open and I can't close it. Although it said it needed to restart the computer, and I clicked OK, nothing has happened - I can still see the desktop - it appears to be frozen.
  6. I have uninstalled Microsoft Security and run the fix but the computer won't restart. I can see the desktop and nothing is happening.
  7. Hello again, I have run the scan again and attached the files. I am concerned that the 'zoek' program caused the windows problem. Is that the case? Did you note that the guy from Bleeping (link above) wrote some code to put into FRST. Perhaps that might work?? Thank you Addition.txt FRST.txt
  8. Hoping you will still help me. I have tried Startup Repair but it didn't work so I have restored the computer to previous restore point and have my desktop back again. I am backing up files and will wait for further instruction.
  9. Please help me. I followed your instructions and went no further. The truth is I posted on the other site first then read that it usually takes 5 days to get a reply from them so I then tried this site and got a very quick response. I didn't think it was a problem trying 2 sites and I really need help fixing the computer.
  10. After searching online I found two possible solutions: "Try to press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC when you are at the black screen, when you are at windows task manager, then look at the tab "Applications". Press "New Task" and type in: Explorer.exe and hit enter. You should now be able to see the desktop." "If safe mode cannot start then you can only try 'System restore'. This can be accessed by choosing 'Repair your PC' from the startup options (same place you select safemode). Choose a date as far back as possible." Do you recommend either of these options?
  11. When I try to boot into safe mode a window pops up saying: Windows Explorer has stopped working Windows can check online for a solution to the problem - check online for a solution and close the program - close the program
