  1. URL: hxxp://www.rexswain.com/httpview.html I use this utility a lot to check suspicious URLs without visiting the site directly. Now it's coming up as a trojan, which seems odd since the site has been reliable for a long time. Maybe the site was compromised but figured you guys could check if it is a false positive. Malwarebytes www.malwarebytes.com -Log Details- Protection Event Date: 5/12/21 Protection Event Time: 9:21 AM Log File: e8fa620e-b324-11eb-8209-08626682a4b1.json -Software Information- Version: Components Version: 1.0.1273 Update Pa
  2. I did scan again and it came up clean. Thanks for looking into this.
  3. Attached is what I suspect is a false positive. It detected that SubtitleEdit 3.6.0 is malware but it ignored SubtitleEdit 3.5.18 which was in the folder right next to it. The program itself was downloaded from the source originally: https://github.com/SubtitleEdit/subtitleedit/releases fpsample.zip
  4. So you're saying its safe then?
  5. Malwarebytes says it's clean, Virus totals (19 engines) say it's malicious. Can you double check please? https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/0b50a879e2493e16aa84cc55e1f7cb730565845d73eeea1ba2bb407c33041581/detection product-presentation2.zip
  6. I just updated to package 1.0.26447 and re-scanned with no issues. I think we're good here. Thanks!
  7. Can I saw how frustrating it is that you can't see the whole row in the threat scan results. And when you export it, its still not the same as what it shows in that table. This is the text export of the results, identified as Malware.AI.4231592388. Apparently the uninstall script for Notepad++ is malware? ------------------------------------------------------ Malwarebytes www.malwarebytes.com -Log Details- Scan Date: 7/5/20 Scan Time: 2:52 AM Log File: 0cf526f0-be8c-11ea-963e-08626682a4b1.json -Software Information- Version: Components Version: 1.0.972
  8. Got a BSOD and WhoCrashed blames mwac.sys. Attached are my results and memory dump ( https://we.tl/t-xO92bKO72U ). On Sun 1/19/2020 1:13:33 AM your computer crashed or a problem was reported crash dump file: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP This was probably caused by the following module: mwac.sys (mwac+0x8C60) Bugcheck code: 0x13A (0x11, 0xFFFF8E88FA002100, 0xFFFF8E8906236EF0, 0x0) Error: KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\mwac.sys product: Malwarebytes Web Protection company: Malwarebytes mbst-grab-results.zip
  9. Thanks for adding to my workload tomorrow when all the staff sees this popup and asks me if they have been hacked. A popup is NOT the place to advertise for your blog. Send me a newsletter email.... Worse you can't disable the notification. Really poorly handled.
  10. We use the software MacroExpress ( https://www.macros.com/ )to automate a lot of our work and yesterday Malwarebytes picked it up as ransomware and wants to delete it. I would like to keep using this software without it being deleted, this is a false positive.
