Is there a way for both to work together without conflicts, for instance, by disabling the anti-exploit component of HMPA? Is that enough to eliminate conflicts between the two?
the reason I would want to do this is because the anti-exploit component of HMPA is not compatible with Sandboxie. So if I want anti-exploit protection for a program running in Sandboxie, I need something like MBAE, which has a template to make it compatible. On the other hand, HMPA does certain things that MBAE does not. So I am wondering if there is a way to combine them both without conflicts?

does MBAE protect it?
Does this require special settings?
They say on the SBIE forum to insert a certain template into SBIE
If I don't do that, is there an increased risk of my log-in credentials leaking out, when the browser is sandboxed?

thanks, Daman!

okay, so is there a test file I can download, to see if the protection is still working with both softwares running?

the AV suite has an anti-ransomware module.
Is MBAR compatible with this module?

should a shield be created for it, and if so, how? (the windows modern apps are not stored in C\program files)

hey, I hit the right spot this time, with the arrows.
I expanded the frame, and now I know why chrome didn't start up for me on saturday night...

spamhunters, yes, I tried restart. It didn't help.
I am attaching the requested zip files.

cyberghost, I wish I could follow your advice, but the quarantine window is stubbornly refusing to show the entire path of the file in question. So I don't even know what file it is.
I posted separately about that problem.
-
yes, I tried that too. the rest of the path does not display, even though there is plenty of room for it to do so.

I tried to restore a file from program files x86, but the restore failed.
-
the quarantine window does not display the name of the file, and the second half of the location is cut off, so I can't see that either. Hovering with the mouse doesn't reveal the hidden part of the path. And right-click doesn't work .
So how can I tell what has been quarantined, so I will know whether to restore it or not?

+1 for the suggestion to change the icon and enable a notification when protection is off.
-
forget about ABBYY. This morning, it quarantined chrome.exe!
-
correct.
-
no, no, it was not quarantined. I meant that it was NOT flagged as a false positive. Sorry I wasn't clear.
I was suggesting that a relatively uncommon program like this should perhaps have been quarantined, but in fact it wasn't.
-
yes, it is installed.
-
I ran this OCR program, which converts image files into text docs of various sorts.
No false positive.
I am not sure if that is good or bad.
When I had Bitdefender 2016 installed, with ransomware protection enabled, ABBYY was flagged.

does MBAE support it?
are there any issues to be aware of?
-
"You might want to go into your profile > edit my profile > notifications and check to be sure"
did it. thanks!!

yeah, that was it.
I found it out from another post on this forum, which I had overlooked.
I didn't know that I have to click on "follow this topic" to get notifications, so I didn't see your answer until now.
how to revert to MBAE free version?
in Anti-Exploit Beta
Posted
I am now running Kaspersky total security 2016, and I don't know if MBAE premium is compatible. But the free version is said to be fully compatible.
How can I revert to the free version?
