  1. Hmm, that's odd. Sure it's still there, maybe they removed it? I can white list it without problems, just interesting. Might share this with the site. At least it wasn't a false positive. Thanks for the info, what happens now? it stays blocked forever?
  2. Here is one example of an album cover that gets blocked when you visit musicbrainz.org, note that the frontpage rotates between newly added covers. hxxps://ia801509.us.archive.org/29/items/mbid-c7a94cae-f2e7-45cb-a91e-299135f04e70/mbid-c7a94cae-f2e7-45cb-a91e-299135f04e70-18245668240_thumb250.jpg This has to be a false positive, archive.org hosts lots of album art for that site. Lots of the other images on that site still works, it just seems to be that subdomain. Here is the log: Malwarebytes www.malwarebytes.com -Log Details- Protection Event Date: 11/6/17 Protection Event Time: 5:53 PM Log File: 0dae7bf4-c313-11e7-96a7-086266c88b25.json Administrator: Yes -Software Information- Version: 3.3.1.2183 Components Version: 1.0.236 Update Package Version: 1.0.3189 License: Premium -System Information- OS: Windows 10 (Build 16299.19) CPU: x64 File System: NTFS User: System -Blocked Website Details- Malicious Website: 1 , , Blocked, [-1], [-1],0.0.0 -Website Data- Domain: ia801509.us.archive.org IP Address: 207.241.228.159 Port: [53747] Type: Outbound File: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe
  3. To be clear this file is not a plea to remove a PUP, this is a file that's incorrectly detected as some other PUP when it is just a harmless installer for an open source program. The installer is for tikione-steam-cleaner v3.0.4 which is open source if you want to take a look. I have attached the file and the log. mbampupfalse.zip
  4. Great! Now add that functionality to regular malwarebytes and it will be even better! Some people just hate doing anything that their PC tells them to do and closes notices to upgrade malwarebytes so they can do whatever they started the PC for. They don't like that it's nagging even though they spend more time getting annoyed by it over and over for weeks then just clicking the few click installing the new version requires. For people like that a background updater/installer would be damn useful.
  5. Thanks, that sounds great except the update part. I wish it just updated silently in the background.
  6. Is it good to install on friends and families computers who are not savvy computer users, will it confuse them? Does it update itself in a more user friendly way then Malwarebytes? (automatically and behind the scenes?) Is it less necessary if you only use Chrome?
