  1. Hi, I have tried to use the free version of TunnelBear but it gets flagged up as phishing so I am loathe to proceed with the app without first checking with your goodselves. I am originally from the UK but moved over to Spain last year and there are are few UK sites I can't connect to from Spain which is why I use this VPN. Have used it in the past without any flagging issues so was wondering if it is safe. I attach my log and hope to hear from you in due course. Cheers mbst-grab-results.zip
  2. Sorry for the delay but I've been away. Hope the attached are of some use. apphelp.zipFWPUCLNT.zipmswsock.zipprovsvc.zip
  3. Hi, Couldn't figure out how to disable other than by deactivating so temporarily left with free version. Rebooted but was denied access when trying to restore quarantined files. I decided to delete them instead and then rebooted and reactivated licence. PC now behaving itself which makes me think that those files couldn't have been quarantined in the first place otherwise PC wouldn't work without those start up files I think? Have a feeling that there is a conflict every time windows installs updates. Do you still wish me to locate those files and send them on? Thanks for your help.
  4. protect log.txtscan log 1.txtscan log 2.txt Hi, These are the logs that were created today. I don't know if these will be of any help as don't contain much info.
  5. Hi, I fired up my one of my laptops a few days after installing windows updates. Noticed malwarebytes went into blocking mode and then I was prompted by Action Centre that windows updates not turned on. Started troubleshooter and couldn't reset automatic updates as pc had trouble starting werconcpl.dll. Tried system restore which didn't work as it had been stopped by anti virus/malware software. As I am running Microsoft Security Essentials I checked malwarebytes and discovered lots of files have been quarantined as per attached screenshot Doc1.docx Would it be best for me to remove malwarebytes, then run system restore and then re-install malwarebytes? Cheers
  6. Hi again, In response to your instructions I attach the requested scan results using the Farbar recovery scan tool. As mentioned in my first post the problem only occurred at the end of the Microsoft Security Essentials scheduled full scan. I am hoping it's just something of a minor conflict bearing in mind that there was a fairly large number of microsoft updates recently. Never had this happen before and malwarebytes has been installed on my laptop for a few months now as well as MSE. My laptop is working fine at the moment so hopefully a one off. FRST.txt 57.76KB 1 downloads Addition.txt 36.95KB 0 downloads Thanks for your help.

  8. Hi, I have 3 laptops two of which have Malwarebytes premium loaded on them. All 3 laptops also have Microsoft Security Essentials loaded and are set for a scheduled full scan on Sundays. The two laptops have come up with an error message saying scan could not be completed and further details gave an error code of 0x800703eb. The 3rd laptop which doesn't have Malwarebytes loaded ran just fine and the Microsoft Securities Essentials completed the full scan without a hitch. This makes me think there is a conflict going on here and I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem even though my search of the forums has drawn a blank? Should I be worried by this, what does the error message mean and how can I prevent this from happening again please? Thanks
  9. I've just realised that this is A1 PCCleaner and not CCleaner which would explain why it was discovered. I don't recall having downloaded anything recently so can't fathom out how it got on my pc. As I have the premium version and the dashboard shows my system is fully protected should I have got a warning as soon as the offending programme tried to gain access? Once on my system does malwarebytes prevent it from creating havoc? Finally I hit the "REMOVE SELECTED" button which put the PUP x 2 into quarantine so hopefully all is now well. Thanks for the help.
  10. Ccleanerpup.txtSorry but log not attached to previous reply. Here it is.
  11. Doc1.pdfThanks for the replies. The attached log doesn't mention the PUP so I've also attached a print sc of the scan result!
  12. The latest premium malwarebytes scheduled scan has come up with this result. PUP.Optional.A1PCCLeaner.C as Potentially Unwanted Program. I've had ccleaner for years and updated it as and when new releases are available. This is the first time this has shown up as a PUP and I am wondering if malawarebytes is being over zealous or not?
