  1. PS. Firefox, in your post of the 5th, which I assume was directed at me, you state " You mention that its a windows 7 laptop, however the logs you provided state that this is a Windows 10 Pro computer? " ......... Yes, the problemical contraption is a Toshiba Windows 7 64 Bit laptop, but I didnt send you any logs at all, unless you obtained the logs somehow from your end?? Cheers, GABOR
  2. Thanks to FIREFOX and others for the reply and emails. Unfortunately the emails went to my Windows XP desktop, not to the affected Windows 7 laptop, so I'll have to transfer them over. I had to put everything on hold for a while due to some crises (yes, plural, lol ) I should be able to devote myself to the task in another few days. Regards, GABOR
  3. Using malwarebytes 3.6.1 ...... Windows7 ....... nearly always disconnects mid session. Why? Can reset it by restarting computer, but I'm unprotected until I notice it. I upgraded to the above version yesterday, and it still persists as it did before upgrade, and possibly did with the version even before that...... I dont remember. It certainly doesnt protect me from that Microsoft fake popup that tells me my computer is locked. lol. Only happens with the Windows 7 laptop...... not with the Malwarebytes on my ancient steam driven Widows XP., which unfortunately doesnt have Ransomeware protection, but also doesnt give me trouble. So what can I do to resolve this? Regards GABOR
  4. Using Malwarebytes Premium 2 Trial version for the first time. Trying to scan a Toshiba external drive (E). Right-clicking on the hard drive does not allow me to scan (E) with Malwarebytes....in fact I cant get it to recognise (E) at all....even in Custom Scan, where I think I had the option of A, C, D, from memory. I did a full scan with (E) connected, and the extra time the scan took makes me think maybe (E) was also scanned..... But I dont have confirmation of this. So what am I doing wrong? Yes, (E) was connected..... :-)
