  1. Hi Guys and Gals, I must have installed and uninstalled Norton a hundred times over the years but I've never ran into this. For those who don't know, I help out on their forums. After uninstalling Norton, then using their Norton Remove & Reinstall Tool in Advanced, Remove Only mode I tried installing Malwarebytes Windows Firewall Control. Please note, I am not asking for support for WFC, just that WFC brought this issue to my attention. I get this as per screenshot. I've been through the registry and deleted all found keys for NS and N360. I have searched 'C' drive and deleted every found file and folder for both, yet I still get the same message from WFC installer. Contacting their Customer Support was a waste of time. I've ran Tweaking.com Windows Repair. Didn't help this issue. I've tried reinstalling Norton 360 and uninstalling with Revo Uninstaller. No good. I'm at a loss what to do next. I ignored the warning once but was getting connection errors just about every time I opened a browser. Not knowing what potential damage I may have caused by deleting reg keys and files / folders I have restored to a known working condition with Macrium Reflect. Norton Security is currently back on the machine and I don't appear to be having connection errors. So I'm wondering (and hoping) if one of the forum experts familiar with FRST could create a script in FRST to remove Norton 360 from registering in Windows Security Center? I'm not at all familiar with FRST so I'm not sure if that is even possible. Much appreciation from anyone who can assist. Thanks, Krusty
  2. FYI, KSCF has updated to Patch 'F' on my machine. I haven't had a chance to test compatibility with Malwarebytes as of yet.
  3. I just reinstalled KSCF and see it has updated to Patch 'F'. Has anyone tested Patch 'F' and Malwarebytes?? Thanks, Krusty
  4. I had a similar issue with Kaspersky Security Cloud Free. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/kaspersky-security-cloud-free.422089/page-2#post-2868484 Thankfully it was a recent installation of KSCF so restoring an image backup solved my problem.
  5. Hi Dave, Good question! Cheers, Dave
  6. That could mean anything (like what websites we visit)... but anyway after entering a fake email address the extension works fine. No problem here so far on any of my machines. I found it interesting that MB Browser Guard for Firefox blocked the Windows Defender Network Protection test site found here: https://demo.wd.microsoft.com/
  7. That's odd because on three machines, the only time I was prompted (in Firefox) was on a machine that had a previous beta installed and removed. Yes, they have my email address but it isn't linked to every single website I visit.
  8. Why does it want my email address??? Get enough emails, thanks.
  9. @RubbeR DuckY, what are you thinking??
  10. Thanks @Gt-truth, but no this does not help at all. The new GUI aside from the robot is fine, but including the robot makes the whole program look like a kids toy and not a serious anti-malware removal tool. If MalwareBytes want to be taken seriously by adults then the robot should go.
  11. Guys, since I posted elsewhere I thought it only fair I post here too. What's up with the cartoon robot? This isn't something I would expect from a serious security program. Who are you targeting? Teenagers? It certainly doesn't instil any sense of comfort in me (or others). Thanks for considering.
  12. Thanks guys. I have received the update and am not seeing anymore blocks. It looks like this FP is resolved. Edit: Yay! My 100th post too. 😁
  13. Same here. https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/250055-mb-website-block-overzealous/
  14. Hi Guys, MB has just started blocking both Norton and Microsoft domains as per the logs. I suspect these are false positives. Thanks, Krusty MB Block.txt MB Second Block.txt

I mean, nearly 16,000 posts @ the Norton Community forums and over 6,000 posts @ wilderssecurity.com. Anyway...

Hi Dave (aka ProTruckDriver), I'm still around but thankfully haven't had any issues with MB for a while so haven't popped in lately, although I do regularly check these forums most days for potential issues, which brings me to... Yeah, I'm aware of the reasons for this decision, thanks @alvarnell. Just checking if I had the option to edit or not. Clearly not. But seriously guys, like @lmacri suggested, if a member has been here you quite a while (over 4 years) and has posted, in my case, nearly 100 posts, surely I'm not about to start spamming now. Thanks for considering. - Dave Krusty

  20. Hi bdubrow, Ok, I understand. Thanks for the reply. Cheers, Krusty
  21. ... But that is still dated 22nd of August. Thanks.
  22. Hi Ron, remember me? Aren't they the Release Notes for 2.2.2.2018? Thanks.
  23. If I disable my lifetime licenses and keep them disabled will they still activate if I choose to use them in the future? Thanks.
