  1. Does deleting a (1) MWB program on 3 PC account free up a slot for use by another PC? From deletion, can I download install and authorize another PC in its place? I deleted a desktop for different laptop, but number said 0 of 3 PC avail. I have the 3 PC deal and used 3- 1 laptop and 2 desktops. Removed one desk top (deleted) and will want to utilize for a 2nd laptop instead. So deleting is adding availability or do I have to do something more? Thanks!
  2. All concerned, I appreciate the advice. I will call it good on this. Thanks. I regularly update my app and have regular scheduled scans. It rarely ever if ever finds anything. That goes for all 3 pc's. I mostly am interested in the incidents it finds from the ooh what is it oh whoa it's a good thing it didn't get in my machine aspect as a curiosity. I am intrigued by the threat and what it does I guess. Thanks.
  3. Oh, this one just has isp listing or something- I just checked my HP here and this is showing up: Trojanweb37.1XXX.txt
  4. Hello Admin, these items are on my sister's Lenovo Desktop. I can try to access and obtain the files via my account on it. I have MWB installed on this HP laptop, her desktop and my Acer desktop. If I get around to it in a few days I will get back to this reply and reply again ok? Thanks.
  5. I tried looking up 3 different quarantined RTP detections via search box in MWB labs, 2 trojans and one malvertising. Nothing on the trojans, it does find the malvertising. For instance Trojan at alphapanda.com or another Trojan which shows location vast-prod...trick.com. Any suggestions? Happy customer this doesn't get past MWB's!
  6. Hello, is this topic "live" as I am getting this phishing blocked outbound this morning : the following website appears malicious- ipv4.login.msa.akadns6.net and has been blocked by Malwarebytes and this is just a false pos happening? Thank you. (I always look up these things that are detected to learn more about it)
  7. Hello Try AdwareCleaner? or I came across this yesterday: https://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/Tron-Script.shtml
  8. Tried to find information on this add on from the Google Web Store (PC add ons) for explanation on why it was flagged for hijack. (Malwarebytes blocked due to hijack) I thought this was odd as I had used this blocker before without it being blocked. If it's actually bad, great, if not I don't care either way, just wanted to investigate it more?
  9. Hi Ron, thank you for reply, I tried to do all of the above. The Adwcleaner removed that PUP. I tried doing the farbar but didn't get how to copy/paste and scan files to fix problems. I pasted the file into the fix area but it didn't scan it. Did it wrong. The new Adwcleaner sure scans faster than the other. Question: can these types of PUP's migrate from one PC or Android Phones/Tablets to other devices? Thanks again.
  10. Hello, laptop with Windows 10 using Chrome browser (69-latest) a week ago was not throwing up blocked notifications for this riskware. I was away for a week and came home, logged into my PC and somehow now have this warning saying eluxer.net blocked outbound. It has blocked it several times including just as l went to sign in here a minute ago. I thought I got rid of it the other day by doing a few counter steps the other day. QUESTIONS: what is the status of this thing in regards to my PC now? Could it have transfered from my Phone or Tablet when I was "out in public"? As long as it's blocked is it not doing its dirty work? I have logs, I did the FARBAR, Windows safety scanner, Google Chrome settings cleanup, and MWBytes scan with scan for rootkits (0 detects). I have windows defender and use VPN most of the time, too so now what? Anyone have any helpful information, it would be appreciated.
  11. Hi, vbarytskyy- I noticed after posting that Windows updated this morning which may have been the issue as it was probably "in progress", which is my guess. After a restart, Red x is now green check. I hadn't seen that before- thanks.
  12. Today, open up PC and Defender shield has red x- so opening Windows Defender 10- Windows Antivirus and Threat protection says: MWB installed; then below that: status unknown. Further down, MWB is off, device may me unprotected. Which is it Microsoft? According to MWB, it is ON! Just FYI if nothing else. MWB is set to: Windows Action Center= let MWB apply best Windows Action Center Settings. Signed, I don't know.
  13. Kevin, that's what I have not figured out, both PC's did have the Floxif Malware on them. The one PC is an older Acer which has Windows 7, and the other this (HP) started out as Windows 8, 8.5, then 10. Was there somehow partitions for 32/64? Anyway, it seemed like it was a bad bug. Thanks for your help. All good now till next time... any minute now the way it goes now a days..
  14. Kevin, thanks for the interest. I downloaded and installed V5.33 of Crap Cleaner and it was on two of my machines; Malwarebytes found the infection(s), which I quarantined and removed. I just wanted to make sure it was gone? Some suggestions alluded to restoring PC to "new"...Just making sure that infections are not hiding out or dormant or something? That's why I took the extra steps by investigating it more here and doing suggested measures, that's all. I might run my windows 7 with the same and submit, too.
  15. Hello, in response to Infected by CCleaner windows 64bit (Cupcake) I hope someone could please look at my scans, I ran Malwarebytes scan the day after finding out 5.33 download was hacked; it found the malware and I quarantined and deleted it. I then did my best to try and restore back to before the infection took hold. I don't know how good that worked, when I scan with MWB its clean. Attached are the Farbar and Addition files. Please advise when you can thank you very much - Do I need to do anything else at this point? Ps ( It was on my Windows 7 too, did the Malware scan, quar, delete and back up restore to earlier point) Mike- a humble appreciative customer. Addition.txt FRST.txt
  16. Dashke, after 14 blocks, either I allowed this or Malwarebytes seems to have allowed this now, as I am not getting blocks anymore.May have overridden it by using it.I did a quick scan and it found no malware but 27 possibly unwanted programs, like you say. I put them in quarantine, but then took them out, if I remove the app I don't want the quarantine to mess up uninstall (in the future?) if it could. I am going to see how this app works for a while. Thanks (& Zynthesist) for checking this out with me.

  18. Hi, just found and installed "Searchlock" app in Chrome Webstore, don't think its a problem but I installed on my Windows PC with default Chrome browser + use Malwarebytes 3.0.6 + when I do a search Malwarebytes pops up and blocks outgoing, but tells me I can exclude or allow if I want to.. (so far I have not allowed anything MBytes blocked) should I tell it to exclude (allow) this? This seems to be a legit application, and I want to trust this app and eager to try this out. Thank you.
  19. Hello, fr33tux and Ender, "Please don't forget to uninstall AdwCleaner with "File" > "Uninstall"." Where do I find this to uninstall? I downloaded this from toolslib and then it shows up as an app in downloads folder and I ran it from there, I am not sure where else it is? Thanks again, Mike aka Idontknow
  20. Hello, I reset Chrome Sync on the PC with one instance of the same log. I then ran AdwCleaner again. Once done, it found other things as well as the original: [-] [C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Web data] [Search Provider] Deleted: mysearch.avg.com [-] [C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Web data] [Search Provider] Deleted: ask.com [-] [C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Web data] [Search Provider] Deleted: aol.com [-] [C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default] [extension] Deleted: hhbgpoakplhahbklhkcfbpicgjcaoglk I continued to go thru the scan and clean process another time or two, it finally came up "no threats". Ok, good enough. I thank you. I will probably run this thru the other PC too and see if it doesn't finally give it up. Thank you, Mike
  21. Hello, thank you, probably nothing but I noticed my other PC finds the same thing, only 1, not two. I am Using Windows Defender and Ghostery too, in case that may be something. Attached file. Thanks for the interest! AdwCleaner[C3].txt
  22. I have scanned PC with AdwCleaner and it finds two identical extensions or somethings maybe having to do with web browser? (Under: Value= Extension) then - Data: followed by a 33 letter gobble de gook -(starts like this: hhbgpoak... ) which also says something about secure preference. After it completes scan, it presents this info and I choose "remove". I go through restart, rescan and they are still there. I have Malwarebytes 2.2.1.1043 / 2016 11 22 9 also, which does not find this stuff? Probably just stuck with whatever it is. Any info would be appreciated. My other scans sometimes find stuff related to Slim Cleaner app.
  23. Hello, thank you for the reply and suggestions. I have tried in earnest to contact someone at Century Link regarding what this PUP might possibly be but I really am not getting any real answers. Is it really a harmful file? Then again it may be some PUP I would prefer not being on my machines. I have contacted CL thru email on their Cust Svc. site, then chatted; was given a phone number to call and I spent 1 hour exploring this with various customer support personnel all total and apologetically got frustrated as usual after a bit but bottom line is the last person in PC Services couldn't tell me, didn't know, and assured me that CL is not the source of this? Oh well, I give up. and I don't know, either! Just bugs me though.
