  1. When having a scanning running and you look at the dash board. Some times it goes out of sync. Like checking for updates from database shows up even if it's have already finished that step.
  2. It's fine. I will report back with a screenshot when I see this again.
  3. Ah. Then I see why I get it. The only thing is, the ad was removed in march for people with licenses. Did they add this back?
  4. I have tested to reproduce this. But this is every time when there have been more than 1 week, and the scheduler runs. I get the notification in the scan window. I can drag it to the left, and to right. I don't know why I didn't take a screenshot. Edit 2: This should have been fixed in march. I found this: Upgrade to Premium promo displays in scan summary for licensed users Edit 1: I scanned with a free version of MB, and this is how it looks like for me on the lifetime licence
  5. I have disabled marketing notifications, still I get them. Last time was today that I should pay for MB and the VPN for a better price. This is showing up when an automatic scan is running. And I use lifetime licence.
  6. I could reproduce this. You are not alone. I like your steps by steps guide too. Thanks so much for finding out this.
  7. Since so many people here don't like to show devices, what about an option on my.malwarebytes.com to disable this? Sorry if it sound stupid, but I have been thinking about this a longer time now. I guess there is other ways too.
  8. From what I have understanding, there is not a quickscan. I can't solve this thread, so I write this here. Thanks for informing me about the scan.
  9. Yes I think it's a threat scan. Maybe the popup that comes shouldn't say "you can run a quickscan now, and click here" for free version.
  10. I thought that quickscans was disabled. The reason I was a bit curious.
  11. I have found out, testing with free version of MB 5.x. It's possible to run a quickscan if "get reminded to run a scan when new files or programs are downloaded" is selected. I have only tested this with weekly checks and not something else. I could be wrong, but it ask me to do a quickscan each time. And it allows me to do so.
  12. If there is coming new beta testing. I'm always there to test around. Thanks for the nice feedback for me and other beta testers.
  13. Ah then I see it's different. I was just lost when it say the same in the menu.
  14. I use free version to test around with it. And I can find that a threat scan and quick scan do the same things. So why is quick scan a premium only feature?
  15. Yes this is possible. You can no longer use ID and KEY from old lifetime key in MB 5x. You need to login through MB5x. Just remember to remove the old device from your lifetime license at https://my.malwarebytes.com/login. I hope you have registered your lifetime license at this link.
  16. And that sound like a manually scan. And then you look at advanced view and you see nothing interesting.
  17. Some times it works. Some times not. I have tried the steps I wrote but didn't get it some times.
  18. I know what Hickory dickory dock clue is. But won't help me anyway. If there is something in MB5x that could be found, I must suck at it.
  19. When having MB5x opened and you have selected a tab. Then run as example calc and it gets it as active window. When going inside MB 5x again you will notice a blue rectangle around the tab. I have run into these many times before but never understand how I replicated it. Example image below.
  20. Automatic check for threat intelligence doesn't change anything. It's only Application updates that does that. Why it does this. I don't know.
  21. It feels like I have played around with exactly everything without anything that the original message says. If it's not something about Play Mode, that no staff have answered to at all. Totally silent when it bugs out with Play Mode. 0) Think like a Gamer. Yes a gamer would add their game to Play Mode. 1) Think as a malware removal technician or a research engineer. I guess the ciphered message would be something with this. 2) All talk about Atari which I have no clue why it was talked about.
