  1. You can move this to the RESOLVED section. Thanks again.
  2. T H E - I haven't used it before and I don't know why the shortcut appeared but this version of IE appears legit. Sorry to trouble you, but MBAM did its job against the "Fast Browser" program. Thanks, Bill
  3. Hi, Edge is the Microsoft browser for Windows 10. I never had IE on my system until a few days ago and it will not let me delete it.
  4. Hi MBAM support: In a rush to download a non-Chrome browser I picked up "fast browser" and a bogus "iexplore". MBAM and Ccleaner took care of the "fast browser" but "iexplore" remains on the computer -- I can not change any permissions and it will not let me delete it. Also, it does not show up in the list of programs under Change/Uninstall in Windows or in the list of programs that Ccleaner displays. I am running Windows 10 and MBAM premium. AV is Windows Defender. Both Defender and MBAM fail to detect this "iexplore". Attached are the FRST logs. Thanks for your help in advance, Bill QuoteMultiQuote Addition.txt FRST.txt

  6. Stable - maybe a little faster. Proxy server setting box is now unchecked. IE reverted to to an earlier homepage.
  7. Results of scan attached. mbar-log-2015-01-24 (09-23-28).txt system-log.txt Addition.txt FRST.txt
  8. I am unable to change the proxy server settings: it always reverts to proxy server 127.0.0.1 Port 60874. I have run Microsoft Malicious software tool and a Microsoft script to fix the registry but the problem remains. Attached are the text files that FRST generated. Addition.txt FRST.txt
