  1. I have an LG G3 (Verizon version) with Android 6.0. Whenever MBAM Premium for Android (3.3.1.6) starts a scheduled scan:

    1. The scan hangs, typically within 4 seconds of starting the scan;

    2. It always hangs on a file on my SD card;

    3. If I exchange the SD card with another one, it still hangs, but on a different file;

    4. The scan hangs after scanning almost all the files, but no apps have been scanned yet (this is different from an on-demand scan, which scans all the apps first before scanning any files);

    5. Sometimes MBAM spontaneously ejects the SD card, and sometimes the ejected card is re-detected by the phone-- other times the card stays in the ejected state;

    6. On-demand scans run without any of these problems.

    Please let me know if there is any further info needed.

  2. Gonzo, thanks for your reply and for forwarding this thread. I'd appreciate it if you could also mention to the Support manager that my issue was handled poorly by Malwarebytes Customer Success. I can understand that reading and responding to customer messages can be a tedious task, but it is still very important that these customer messages be read carefully and that responses should be relevant; I have no problem with receiving a canned response as long as it addresses the issue at hand, but the responses I received weren't even close. If these responses are being handled by some sort of AI, then some fine tuning is needed in the algorithms; if actual humans are responding, they need to know that sending out any old irrelevant reply just to clear out the inbox is not the way the job should be done.

  3. I recently received an annual renewal notice for Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit from Cleverbridge. I was under the impression that with the update of Malwarebytes to 3.0, that the Anti-Exploit product was incorporated into MBAM and, if I recall correctly, MBAE was automatically removed as part of the install of MBAM 3.0. If this is so, why would I want to continue to pay for the MBAE product?

    I posed this question via the online contact form and got a reply from "Malwarebytes Customer Success" (what a misnomer that is!) that tells all about Cleverbridge but doesn't answer my question. I replied: "
    I think you missed the point of my message. Why should I renew MBAE if its features are already incorporated in MBAM 3?"

    The response I received today appears to be a canned response requesting that I download mb-check and FRST and send the reports back to MB. I replied saying:

    "Why on Earth should I download two pieces of software and provide you with all of the diagnostic info when I asked a marketing/product question and am not asking for help with a technical issue?

    PLEASE READ AND RESPOND TO MY ORIGINAL POST..."

     I have had a Lifetime License to MBAM Pro since 11/12/2013. What does it to get the attention of a real, thinking human being to provide an appropriate answer to a simple question???

  4. For some time now I have been using CryptoPrevent Premium Edition from FoolishIT.com (yes, that's really their name). I haven't had a problem with it, have now installed MBARW beta 09.14.361, and they are peacefully co-existing so far. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I'm curious if anybody else is using both of these at the same time, and what their experiences have been.

  5. For the past week or so, MBAE has randomly shown a warning message about an exploit attempt, and then closed Firefox. When I start up Firefox again, sometimes the warning and closure will repeat immediately, but other times everything functions normally. Occasionally, I will get the warning message as I am *closing* Firefox. There doesn't appear to be any specific action on my part or on Firefox's to cause the warning and closure; sometimes it occurs without any action at all. If I stop MBAE's protection, Firefox works without any problem. I suppose this could be an actual warning of a blocked exploit attempt, but it happens too frequently (and on more than one network) for me to believe that the warnings are not false positives.

    Here are my vital statistics: I'm on a Dell Inspiron 17 5000 Series with an 4th gen Intel i7 chip and 8 gigs of RAM under Windows 7 Pro. I am using MBAE 1.05.1.1016 and Firefox 34.0; a zipped copy of the entire MBAE logs directory folder is attached.
