  1. Hello again: I went to a Windows help site and found a great many people share my problem. I read many potential solutions offered by numerous users. And it seems that the problem comes down to the subject of your last post - the touchpad. One user referred to a program called "TouchFreeze" which disables the touchpad when typing. All those who installed it had positive results. So I decided to give it a try. So far I am optimistic. I typed about ten lines without the cursor jumping once. I'd call that definite progress! At least we know now it wasn't caused by a virus. Isn't it ironic that you came up with the problem almost at the same time I found it on the Windows help site? But I'm giving you credit for the find since you went through all the trouble of starting from the ground up. And I can certainly say I have the cleanest computer in town :-) Thanks so much for all your patient help. And please - Have a whole six-pack on me! Sincerely, Jeanmarie50
  2. Notebook? If you mean is my device a notebook, no. It is a Dell laptop.
  3. As I said before, it's certainly better than it was. But that @%*#& cursor is still jumping around. Could it be the problem is not caused by a virus?
  4. Two programs uninstalled. Farbar and Malwarebytes scans were run. Requested logs are attached. Fixlog.txt mbam.log.2015.01.22.txt
  5. Hello again: Reran Farbar Recovery - logs attached. Ran TDSSKiller - No objects found. Logs attached. Addition.txt FRST.txt TDSSKiller.3.0.0.43_20.01.2015_09.53.54_log.txt TDSSKiller.3.0.0.43_20.01.2015_09.57.15_log.txt
  6. Reinstalling Chrome will be no problem. Then I thought could my jumping cursor possibly be something as simple as my mouse?! But alas, no such luck. I was using a wireless mouse that I changed to a corded mouse and finally no mouse. The problem is still there. In fact the cursor jumped position twice so far while typing this message. Do you have any more ideas?
  7. Scans completed and latest logs attached. mbam log 2015.01.17.txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
  8. It's certainly better than it was before. The cursor still jumps to different locations but not as often. Do you think this is as good as it's going to get?
  9. Hello: All instructions have been followed. Logs are attached. Fixlog.txt AdwCleanerS0.txt
  10. I'm not sure if this is caused by a virus or not. But it makes typing emails a real pain. I might get a few words typed or just a character or two and it may jump back several rows or totally off the page, Please help!
