I have been using an online security system through my internet provider, Embarq. Last month while running a scan, the "Win32.Trojan.Agent" appeared and was scheduled to ne disinfected. The moment I initiated the fix, a small window appeared and basically told me to be prepared of being shut down. Embarq pretty much said too bad. At the time, it didnt seem to be doing anything malicious, it was just there, so I let it go. Now I am having little issues (programs terminating, pop ups, bogus anti-virus offers, firewall being turned off) and I am ready to be done with this once and for all. Today I installed Malwarebytes and ran the scan. Issues were found and fixed and I thought I had found my answer. But out of curiousity, I ran the Embarq scanner, and the "Win32.Trojan.Agent" remains. Please tell me there is a simple solution, here. I have also run Windows Live OneCare scanner, and that was a wash too.
