  1. Kevin - Thanks so much for your help. I've left a small donation. mc_and_son
  2. Kevin - I've followed your instructions and have attached the resulting three log files. I haven't noticed any issues, so do you think my PC is now malware/virus free? And again, thanks for your help. mc_and_son MRT_Nov_21_2017.txt AdwCleaner[C0].txt Fixlog.txt
  3. Kevin - Thanks much for helping out. I've followed the instructions in the "im-infected-now ..." link. Attached are the FRST, Additions, and Malwarebytes Threat Scan log files that I generated. Addition.txt FRST.txt Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_Scan_11_20_2017_1045PM.txt
  4. Today, while browsing on the internet, a large window with red background popped up entitled "Windows Security Alert". It said that that my PC had been infected by a virus, that private details were at risk, and that I must immediately call a toll free number to fix things. It was accompanied by the same audio message. I proceeded to do a full scan with Malwarebytes Premium and McAfee, but no threats were detected. I'm using a PC running Windows 7 Professional. The browser was Firefox. Any help that the forum members can provide will be much appreciated. - mc_and_son
  5. Following the above advice to my inquiry given by Maurice Naggar, I found and deleted the offending email in Windows Live Mail. This fixed the problem - full scans by McAfee VirusScan Enterprise now find nothing. Thank you Mr. Naggar.
  6. A full scan with Malwarebytes AntiMalware Premium on my desktop computer found nothing. However, a full scan with my virus protection software, McAfee VirusScan Enterprise, found four instances of the js/nemucod.dt trojan, which it could not remove. I repeated both scans in the Safe Mode and got the same result. Any help removing this trojan would be greatly appreciated. I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. The FRST and addition text files are attached. Thanks much. -- Robert Stark Addition.txt FRST.txt
  7. Hi TwinHeadedEagle, and Happy New Year! My PC in working fine. No trace of the "Malicious Websites Blocked" messages from Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Thanks so much for your help. The small remuneration should get you a beer at most sports venues in the US.
  8. Hi TwinHeadedEagle. After exiting out of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, I ran the Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit. It detected two malware items. I clicked "Cleanup", and then rebooted. The mbar-log and system-log files are attached. I next ran the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool again. The FRST.txt and Addition.txt files are attached. Over to you, and thanks again for your help. system-log.txt mbar-log-2014-12-30 (21-40-32).txt Addition.txt FRST.txt
  9. TwinHeadedEagle, I downloaded Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit, ran it, and updated the malware definitions. I then clicked "Next" and then "Scan". But the cleanup page of the scan says "Scan Failed!", and an error window pops up stating "This version of Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit requires you to completely exit the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware application to continue." When I press "Exit", Anti-Rootkit closes. I've attached the system-log.txt file and a PowerPoint file containing a screen capture that illustrates the problem. I can't find an mbar-log file. Please advise. And again, thanks for your help. Malwarebytes_Anti-Rootkit_BETA_Error_12292014.ppt system-log.txt
  10. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (Premium Version) generates several "Malicious Websites Blocked" message windows right after I boot up my computer. The domain of the first of these messages is always "fffSee.com". Threat scans with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, in both the regular and safe modes, detect nothing. Ditto for full scans with "McAfee VirusScan Enterprise + AntiSpyware Enterprise 8.8". I've attached the FRST.txt and Addition.txt files generate by the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool. I am running Window 7 Professional on a 64-bit PC. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. mc_and_son Addition.txt FRST.txt
