  1. I have just done that maxbar so will see what happens thanks for your help.
  2. Nathan I pressed the button in the top right hand corner of battery and there was a history of power intensive apps, when I looked before malwarebytes as well as my VPN was showing in there but now it isn't and I have just done a reboot and it has switched my malwarebytes back on without any problems. Cheers for your help both of you and I will be keeping a check on what happens when I get Pie.
  3. I see this article is for Pie, I am on Oreo and the screen looks different and I can't find the option to turn off battery optimism, it has behaved itself as long. As I don't reboot and is staying on, but the good news is the tablet is due to upgrade to Pie next month.
  4. I have Mobile Premium and everyday I have to keep switching the safe browser scanner back on, I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and even done factory reset on tablet, I switch it on and and tick the box and says enabled, it works OK until you switch off, restart or put it in sleep then when you want to scan it says fix issues,, the tablet is a Huawei M5 lite running on Oreo.
  5. I am having the same issues with 3 computers, It opens on computer restart but next time you try to open MBAM it won't open but it is doing schedule scans on all 3, I tried reinstalling on 1 but it wouldn't unless I deleted first, but still doing the same as before. and like I said 1 is with a new install, the link is in the taskbar tray but it whirls round for 30 seconds then switches off
  6. i am on windows 10,my only problem, not for the first time with the new build is when updating, the button you need to press on dashboard is non responsive, also when clicking on upgrade and download is pressed in bottom right handside of screen.so i have had to go onto Malwarebytes site to install, and on one laptop had to uninstall and reinstall because it said i didn't have permissions, apart from that it is a great product to use,and even better now it is in one package.
  7. my new subscription starts in 2 weeks time, but after a problem with computer today,i had to do a full reset and have just reinstalled bytes, was surprised it was the new version, very cool interface and very fast scan,so what i want to know is do i still need to install anti exploit, though i have not found a link yet,and presume anti ransomware is inbuilt as well.also how do you know if anti exploit is working because it is not displaying when opening firefox, and cannot find any setup instruction for exclusions etc,but up to now it looks great and bytes scans very quick. i apologise, have found the settings for anti exploit, this product looks fantastic and great work by the malwarebytes team, only crititism is you do not know if anti exploits is protecting your browser./

  9. just to add to my above post it was only the advanced memory protection that caused the stopping of chrome,CALL ROP is working OK.
  10. sods law, after having it working with anti exploit and MBAE on chrome today with defaults reset and rapport working also, chrome has just updated to latest version and i got greeted with the MBAE pop up blocking chrome.
  11. i did what Pedro sugested, and it worked fine, but like others have said worried about protection so i decided i would use firefox and restored anti exploit to its proper settings, decided to try chrome again and it worked fine much to my surprise with anti exploit and rapport running.
  12. Pedro, tried what you posted and rebooted, still not working on chrome now saying heap memory blocked.
  13. just had it with me,certainly rapport causing it on chrome, uninstalled rapport and chrome was fine.rapport not affecting firefox though,,reinstalled rapport and chrome will not open with the blocked pop up from anti exploit but maybe a different reason,so on this computer which i use for banking i will be using firefox only until a fix is found.also reboot made no difference. same message as hadleyhope.
  14. tried office repair, failed.had to reinstall, also disabled anti ransomware software while doing this.then tried enabling anti ransomware and it only reenabled after restart of computer. seeing the message was on computer for a brief time i have no idea what words to write in the exclusions part of the software.this could also be useful for the malwarebytes anti ransomware team to see if the exclusion works in case microsoft do another 365 update. maybe 1PW could assist on could help with this seeing it as affected a number of people around the world today.i like malwarebytes products and they give you confidence.
  15. i have just had a ransom-ware blocked on office 2016 updater, closed the window and opened the anti ransom-ware box and nothing showing in quarantine. also pleased to trial the software on 3 machines after having being hit in the past twice.
  16. i have got adblock plus, use mcafee total protection, mcafee web adviser and have have malwarebytes premium and and anti exploit premium. but this virus still managed to get through without any warning,on a website that I have used many times before and is ticked green on webadviser has being safe, and I have had it before with simple sites that when I tried to open a page webadviser usually gives a warning not to go there, but for some reason this did not happen on this occasion and anti exploit did not stop it either, also antivirus and Malwarebytes scans did not find it either.you then start to think will it have also got onto my laptop seeing it is the same email address and in sync with this computer,i like the new edge browser but myself and a lot of other people will be put off by the fact there is no addons available at the moment for extra protection,i had problems with my laptop with anti exploit on windows 10, and had plenty of online chats with Pedro, but again there is no protection for edge though it is hoped to be in next update. anyway thanks for your help and I presume it is safe to use firefox on this computer again. thanks mistertonmick.
  17. yes i have used the Delfix tool, would you advise me not to use firefox on this computer. anyway thanks for your help and a beer will be on the way to you.
  18. there has been no problems today Kevin,so i presume the virus has been removed, did any of the logs show anything. and are you confident it is sorted.
  19. no it is working fine, just disapeared off firefox when cortana searched for system restore on web instead of computer. i intended after looking up the virus to put it back a few days. but then you wonder if it had left a virus on computer, mcafee and MBAM showed nothing and i dont believe adwcleaner did either looking at the scan result, but the other log files i have not got a clue what they come up with. will now see what happens tomorrow and your conclusions, anyway are you having nice weather in the NE,been very erratic in Notts.
