  1. @LiquidTension We are a MalwareBytes Endpoint Protection customer still suffering from this issue. We have McAfee Endpoint - Removing McAfee stops the "HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS NT\CURRENTVERSION\WINLOGON|USERINIT" registry key from being falsely detected as ransomware. Has Malwarebytes made any progress on this? Even just the ability to make an exclusion for this would be acceptible - more so than totally uninstalling our McAfee product. Thanks
  2. We have been battling this issue. Do you also use McAfee Endpoint protection?
  3. I upgraded from 1.7 to 1.8 and it trashed the database. Had to reinstall and "deploy" all of the clients again to get them to report to the new installation.
  4. All of my users just got this notification and none of them can install since they are not admins on their PCs. Please send business customers a warning before doing an update like this. My phone is ringing off the hook. Can we get this software managed by the same console as MBAE and MBAM? Please provide download link for the new version. I found a Beta 9 link but it looks like it's the consumer version.
  5. Thank you for the response. I was able to populate the needed registry keys using group policy. It's working well now to remove PUPs, remotely deployed with PSexec.
  6. Hello All, I'm having the same pain as other posters on this forum, asking about using the remediation tool to scan remote systems. I am successfully doing this using psexec, it wasn't too hard to figure out, however, Malwarebytes should release some documentation. One of the main features touted in this product is the remote scanning ability. The issue I'm having is with the PUPs. I saw this article: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/157029-how-to-customize-mbam-rt-default-settings/ and am going to see if I can change those registry keys remotely. If anyone has a solution to create these keys remotely either all at once using group policy or using psexec please share as it seems we are all asking the same questions about this product. I would like to see a version of the remediation tool that has a simple command line switch to enable automatic removal of PUPs. Thanks, -Alex
