  1. Hello, any moderator willing to take a look at the malware problem with my computer? Malwarebytes cannot seem to stop this problem. I cannot copy and paste to this forum for some reason, but I have attached the FRST.txt and Addition.txt to the above post if those will help.... Please let me know if this problem is possible to be solved. Really don't want to go to the whole trouble of reinstalling Windows 7 64-bit again....
  2. Hello. Came on forum on October 28th with same issue. dllhost.exe running about 20 instances and eating up memory. Problem seemed fixed on October 28th through this forum, but it must have been buried deep because it is back. Noticed problems with my screen saver, Avira antivirus doing weird things and my wireless adapter flashing crazily. Checked Task Manager and sure enough, the dllhost.exe COM surrogate is replicating and bogging down my computer. I hope that's all it's doing..... Anyway, I ran the FARBAR utility and am attaching the FRST and ADDITION results to see if maybe someone can help get rid of this dang malware once and for all. In the meantime, I'm going to unhook from the internet until tomorrow to see if there's a reply from a moderator in case there's something nasty going on with this malware infection. Thanks, Todd. 3. Done, done, done and done!!! Running like a well-oiled machine!!! Thank you, thank you thank you, we can CLOSE OUT!!
  4. Evening Kevin, thank you for your prompt reply. Went through your steps one-by-one and everything seems to be running beautifully so far. No DLLHOST.EXE goblins eating up my operating system anymore as far as I can tell. From the amount of posts that I have seen on the Malwarebytes forum about this DLLHOST.EXE problem, I gather this is a real big and common issue for many users. There must be lots of sites that are hiding this dang malware. I am attaching all files generated from your instructions for your review. AdwCleanerS0.txt Fixlog.txt JRT.txt MBAM Scan Log.txt mrt.log
  5. Help! Last evening (10-27-14), Malwarebytes started blocking numerous outgoing IP addresses while I was browsing the internet. I added them to the 'Excluded List', but my browser is S L O W. Checking my Task Manager, there are about 20 instances of DLLHOST.EXE COM Surrogate running and eating up my CPU capacity. After a little checking around, I downloaded the FARBAR RECOVERY SCAN TOOL and ran it. I tried to cut-and-paste the files in this forum, but they will not paste. I am attaching the following files if they can be used: FRST.txt Addition.txt Thanks to whoever could help with removing this annoying creature from my computer. Addition.txt FRST.txt
  6. Malwarebytes stopped several outgoing access attempts during web browsing last evening. Followed Malwarebytes popup suggestion and added to Excluded List. However, my computer is really dragging and running slowly. Looked in Task Manager and there area about 20 instances of dllhost.exe running at the same time. I scanned the computer again with Malwarebytes and Avira anti-virus, but nothing is showing up. Cannot figure what's up with the numerous dllhost.exe processes eating up memory. Is this a malware or Trojan that is not being picked up by Malwarebytes and Avira (yes - both are up to date)?
