  1. After getting an uneasy feeling on a website offering low prices on software, I ran Malwarebytes (even in safe mode) with the new download and it detected security.hijack, saying it could not remove it all and needed to reboot to complete removal. Both times it failed to reboot and I had to reboot manually, and it still did not remove it. Please help me determine if this is a false positive or a real threat. My system is Vista 64 Home Premium on a Toshiba A505 S6960. Here is the last log: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.40 Database version: 2609 Windows 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 8/12/2009 3:20:41 AM mbam-log-2009-08-12 (03-20-31).txt Scan type: Quick Scan Objects scanned: 83830 Time elapsed: 1 minute(s), 20 second(s) Memory Processes Infected: 0 Memory Modules Infected: 0 Registry Keys Infected: 1 Registry Values Infected: 0 Registry Data Items Infected: 0 Folders Infected: 0 Files Infected: 0 Memory Processes Infected: (No malicious items detected) Memory Modules Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Keys Infected: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options (Security.Hijack) -> No action taken.
