  1. I'm running 3.4.4.2398 and I'm now getting "real time" issues which mean no web protection. I've seen this exact issue come and go for about 2-3 years now. It's not a version, it's a bug. Why can't it be fixed for good?
  2. I just checked and there is not one word of this issue on their homepage.
  3. My home screen says "Real-Time detections: 582 Those are likely lifetime, not daily.
  4. To most of us private users this was a hiccup. To some it is/was an expensive disaster. We pay companies like MBAM to protect us, therefore are held to a higher degree of accountability. It obviously was not intentional, but it happened, and there is no excuse for it.

  6. Absolutely! This was no different than being hit with a virus and we're paying money for it.
  7. my computer is on 24/7/365... unless I'm on vacation for more than a week.
  8. I would. If things become broken, then think about fixing.
  9. I would reboot a couple more times and see if it fixes itself.
  10. Glad you got it going. After a screw-up of this magnitude, I would venture MBAM won't have another hiccup soon. Guessing Volkswagen won't be messing with emissions systems anytime soon. Back in '86 after the shuttle explosion, I said "the safest launch ever will be the next one". They did have an issue with re-entry about 18 years later. Still...
  11. Someone else just posted this.... "This "malformed update" managed to break part of my motherboard. The built in Ethernet port doesn't work anymore, even with MWB completely uninstalled. Luckily we had a PCI Ethernet Card laying around that I'm now using to connect to the internet again."
  12. Sorry to hear. Did your version of MBAM get corrupted? You can dowload from their site and apply your key.
  13. Simply start MBAM and update and reboot before your machine freezes. Version 1.0.3803 is the fix.
  14. Mbam is now working as normal. It is it's normal memory hog.
  15. This sounds systemic. We need a fix. My PC totally locked up and crashed. Malware Bytes consumes 100% of all resources.
  16. It's my understanding Chrome/Google uses static.com for loading pages.
  17. There is obviously some kind of anomaly or why would mbam report outgoing? It probably is nothing, but the fact that there's more than just me seeing it tells me there might be a bug not yet discovered. If you've noticed, there are almost 1000 hits on this 30 post thread, so it appears there may be many more lurking that are seeing this issue. Time will tell. Thanks TwinHeadedEagle
  18. here ya go. mbar-log-2015-04-19 (08-40-46).txt system-log.txt
  19. adding to the exceptions would eliminate the warning, but not the threat, right?
  20. Rammanjeff, are you seeing the outgoing all the time or only at sites with ads? I saw the tidaltv at ebay also. I'm pretty convinced its ad related, but no problems on Facebook. Perhaps MBAM is being too sensitive?
  21. Strange that these very public sites have thousands of visitors per day and would allow themselves to be infected. I have the exact same version of mbam and avg on my laptop and can visit both sites without incident. I'm convinced there's something buried in my operating files somewhere. Funny thing, today when I google "remove set.tidaltv.com, there are many fake or fraudulent programs popping up simply from this thread. They are quoting my symptoms, word for word, to sell their own version of spyware to remove this bug while adding their own bug. Beware of Spyhunter! http://virusesremovaltips.blogspot.com/2015/04/solutions-to-settidaltvcom-removal-how.html
  22. My computer ran for several hours without any outgoing reporting. Then while reading facebook, I clicked on a news article at KTLA5.com and up popped an outgoing. It appears certain websites are triggers, but I can't say for sure what causes the outgoing attempts. Slickdeals.com stirs up set.titaltv.com and KTLA5.com stirs up sy.eu.angsrvr.com. I'm baffled if the outgoing attempts are caused by ads or if my computer has a bug. MBAM premium is configured by recommended/defaults. Below is a screen capture of 30 minutes ago while visiting both Slickdeals and KTLA5.
