  1. Hello. I downloaded the update. Now I see a green circle of dots going around a blur icon. It's been doing this for hours and I cannot connect to the internet on my laptop anymore.
  2. How do you tell what drivers you need to update? is there a software that tells you if outdated or not? I haven't updated any drivers in 2 years as I never got any notification to do so.
  3. Oooh! I actually have Speccy installed along with CCleaner which I learned from you guys. <3. My computer is a Toshiba Qosmio x715. My dad got it for me about 3 and a half years ago since we were always on the go and I was constantly in hospitals and loved to play games. It was easier to get this laptop then haul a desktop over. Hard drive: And I do have a wireless. But, how do I update the driver on it?
  4. minidump.zip Error You aren't permitted to upload this kind of file Here's a link to it as well just in case: http://images.ashkir.com/users/public/i22616minidumpi177.zip
  5. Hi! I'm pretty computer dumb when it comes to these screens. First blue screen I've had in four years! That's a record! So anyways, my computer did a forced reboot and I heard a really loud grinding noise from my harddrive. By googling around I see that it relates to the minidump somehow? I'm kind of afraid to do anything now on my computer and at this time with medical issues I really cannot afford to buy a new one. Operating System: Windows 7 32-bit; Ram: 4 gb 3 usuable (the guy that installed windows 7 chose 32 not 64 ><)
  6. I've been searching constantly for answers and it seems nobody has them! What do these things mean? What I really want to know is what do these mean: -) Hardware Reserved (I'm guessing it has to do with the operating system baseline, or because I'm running 32 bit with 4 gigs of ram, I heard only 3 is usable) -) In use 1158 MB (Seems high if that is my memory in use, but all of my processes seem crucial) -) Modified... no clue waht this means. -) Standby 1858 MB, seems to go up and down 40 MB each way. I have no idea what does this mean. -) Free Is it bad that I have a lot of standby over free? Why do I have so much standby? This doesn't make sense to me.
  7. Hate that you can't edit posts here! Sorry for triple posts. :3. Which firewall would you personally recommend?
  8. Thank you for the tips. And all of your help! Nick.
  9. I convert all my PDFs to HTML files or scribd. PDFs are a pain in the arse. I'll install JAva when I need it. :]. Last time I used a java client I don't remember .
  10. Great! Thank you! Just had to make sure as I got hacked when I got back from a vacation! Thank you Maniac!

  12. You said to disable my current antivirus, and the instructions you linked to did not do it, I googled and found another way to do it. I use Spyware Doctor with Antivirus. I'm running the ESET scan now.
  13. Hmm. No edit button, sorry, I figured it out. The instructions there are wrong, all you have to do is right click and press 'shutdown'.
  14. The instructions for Spyware Doctor are wrong, so I'm not sure how to do that then.
  15. Hi there! Thank you very much for helping. I recently stopped using Google Chrome as it kept finding trojans in the cache. .
  16. Er. don't see an option to shut ddown the actual computer but only terminate the program.
  17. Well. I have been using Malwarebytes for about a year now. Discovered it right before my open heart. Ran it on my grandma's computer and it removed so many viruses, so I installed it on mine, and never had a problem with viruses until one time my brother saw an ad for free halo 4 and pressed download and run. ><'. Malwarebytes removed it. That was sweet. xD. I suggested Malwarebytes to my friend, it removed 124 things on his computer and over 200 on his friend's. They both are now excited about how much FASTER their computers run. I have been running this on my laptop since I got it a few months ago, at least daily. Today it found a trojan, and I have no idea where it came from. Thanks malwarebytes. ^^
  18. I am curious, is there a way to get Malware Byte's to automatically shutdown my computer when it is finished scanning?
