I'm having an issue with launchpage.org. I don't know how or where to start to look for it. Currently Malware Bytes isn't able to locate it. I did a search for it online and it comes up with what I can only assume is pretty shady instructions. Actually those errors all time with when Malware Bytes would run into that particular issue and I'd hold the power to button to shut off the PC. Performing an improper shut down.

^^ I can't open documents. Can't even open Task Manager to terminate the program.

I may have miscommunicated the issue. What happens is Malware Bytes will hang on one single file during the threat scan. When that occurs I'm unable to browse the internet as it will freeze, I can open documents, I cant even shut down my PC properly. I've been able to pause the scan when it hits that point but it doesn't change the fact that I'm unable to close Malware Bytes or even restart my PC normally. I have to hold on the power button on my tower to restart. Only logs I have are updates.

This is becoming rather frustrating. I removed what was mentioned above only for another file to cause the same issue. MBAM got a little further and it happened again. Rince and Repeat. Its continuous. It seems no matter how files I attempt to remove the issue is caused by another file. I'm beginning to wonder if I need to reinstall my OS.

I had actually performed that step prior to my first step but I did it again anway. So be more accurate of where my threat scan was freezing or causing my PC to freeze. C:\Users\DEFAULT\Links\SkyDrive.Ink As stated I performed the MBAM clean no change same issue.

It failed. Same issue. I can provide more detail however. The scan fails at Users and it appears to have an issue with Skype.

I've attached the files as requested. I removed the Media Player Codec but I'm curious to know what Media Player Codec does that facilitates its removal? I don't think its pirated software but if it causes issues to my PC do you have a superior alternative you can recommend? Fixlog.txt ComboFix.txt

I've encountered issues with Malware Bytes before so much so that I've stopped using it altogether. I've recently attempted to use it again and the same issue occurs during Threat Scan. MBAM crashes/hangs on a random file during Filesystems Scan. I'm unable to close MBAM at all. In fact it freezes my PC to the point I have to hold the Power buttom to restart. Usually MBAM freezes on files in my USERS section. I'm using the most current version. My anti-virus is Microsoft Security Essentials. I have Vuze its not running. I've also used the mbam-clean.exe and reinstalled with the same issue occurring.
