  1. Hello @Sebbyb1: Your next helper would like to know that. Please reply to your new topic with the same information as was suggested above. Good luck to you!
  2. Hello @Sebbyb1: As an adjunct to Dave's always excellent advice, if you have Malwarebytes for Mac v3.8.17.2526 already installed and updated with database v4.0.402, then run a manual Threat Scan and include the results in the new topic Dave has suggested you create. If Malwarebytes for Mac has never been installed on the Mac, please consider making it part of your Mac's defensive arsenal. The first/initial download/install automatically activates a 14-day free premium trail by default for your evaluation. Reference: Download and install Malwarebytes for Mac You may always amend your new topic with the above mentioned scan results. Thank you.
  3. Hello @joebytes and welcome back: I am strictly guessing. However, I suspect you are selecting "My Account" from the "Sign in's" drop-down menu. Yes the password criteria has undergone a security upgrade that requires an better password. The next time you visit My Account, select "Forgot password?" and create a new safer & more complex password. Please post a reply to this topic with your success. Thank you.
  4. Hello @Alwithaprob: Maurice has rephrased what I posted above and he's quite right. I have requested that forum management move your entire topic to the Windows Malware Removal Help & Support sub-forum. Thank you.
  5. Hello @Alwithaprob: Not to worry. It happens several times per week. IMHO the mb-support-X.X.X.XXXX.exe GUI could do with some reworking. Since you have accomplished the mbst-repair, we need to see a fresh mbst-gather if you have the time. BTW - that computer's C:\ partition is running dangerously low on free space. Please consider some serious cleanup that strives to achieve about 25% (or more) free space. Your "white lamb" could also use some minor cleanup within Windows 10 itself. If that system tries to update to W10 1903 (from 1803) the process would likely fail before completion. Also, please give close scrutiny to updating Mozilla's Firefox and Java. Both are quite dangerously out-of-date. Reference: Free Up Drive Space in Windows 10 Thank you.
  6. Hello @Kamui: Please restart that Windows 10 system into the usual Normal mode. Do not launch any other user applications. Run the recently updated mb-support-1.4.1.623.exe utility again but instead, follow all the steps in the following procedure. Uninstall and reinstall using the Malwarebytes Support Tool Restart Windows 10 to Normal mode one additional time. Then, please reply to this topic with the then current status of that Malwarebytes for Windows (MB3). Thank you.
  7. Hello @Kamui and : I have requested that forum management move your post to its own topic so as not to detract from the OP and the efforts of others. In the meantime, please follow my request in post #3 and ONLY run/post the mbst's gather function. Then, please await further instructions. Thank you.
  8. Hello @Alwithaprob: Please tell the forum if the mbst-grab, you have posted. was taken before or after you ran the mbst-repair. Then, please await further instructions. Thank you.
  9. Hello @Alwithaprob and Thank you for using Malwarebytes 3 for Windows. Please follow only steps 1 thru 8 in the Upload Malwarebytes Support Tool logs manually procedure. Then, attach the mbst-grab-results.zip archive file in your next reply to this topic for proper analysis by Staff/Experts. Thank you.
  10. Hello @yardbird: Almost three-dozen known Windows cleaning utilities exist. Yet, you may wish to look at BleachBit. BleachBit is a highly regarded, powerful, multi platform, open source, freeware utility whose origins go back to 2008. BleachBit may be conventionally installed in Windows or run as a portable app. BleachBit is quite compatible with the most recent Windows 10 1903 release build. To maximize its abilities, the user's learning curve could be steep for some but well worth your time. HTH
  11. Hello @pnamajck: Quite to the contrary. Employing the rootkit module, in manual or scheduled threat scans, will add a significant amount to the total time to scan completion. As an example, a manual threat scan of ~400K objects may take four and one-half minutes to complete. Adding the rootkit option will increase the completion time to well over eleven minutes. The consumer base has and would complain bitterly with the above time deltas if it were not for the electable option turned off by default. However, your point is not altogether lost on me. All of my threat scans (manual or scheduled) have the rootkit option on. Thank you for using the free consumer edition of MB3. HTH

  17. Hello @theMezz: Yes. You will need to make separate arrangements for anything beyond that Lifetime Key.
  18. Hello @BillBuckle: On behalf of Malwarebytes, and their volunteers, you're welcome. Cheers
  19. Hello @BillBuckle: Your topic has been moved to a more appropriate sub-forum. If the strain is a near typical one, the Top Results.app file is likely classified as a PUP Please save all work and close all open applications. Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool MBST-Mac.zip Restart the MacBook's macOS to normal mode. Follow the 1st six (6) steps of the procedure MBST-Mac procedure Attach the MWB_info.zip archive file, developed above, to your next reply to this topic. Also, compress the Top Results.app file as Top Results.app.zip and attach it too with your next reply. You may continue to use your MacBook as usual. Please do not take any other actions against the Top Results.app file for the time being Thank you.
  20. Hello @BillBuckle and Please run a complete Threat Scan with Malwarebytes for Mac and then reply to this topic with the system's status. Thank you. References: https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-2634 https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-1883
  21. Hello @bnfoat: Malwarebytes 3 for Windows (MB3) does not scan network mapped partitions. MB3 will scan directly connected partitions such as those on IDE, SCSI, SATA buses or USB connected. Still though, for your system's security, and assuming no disabled MB3 modules, MB3 still monitors all reads and writes to network mapped partitions. Thank you.
  22. Hello @Pkeelty and We sincerely apologize for your topic being hijacked. Are you still with us and are you experiencing trouble? Please respond to @treed's #2 post at https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/222984-real-time-protection-wont-turn-on/?do=findComment&comment=1217236 Thank you.
  23. Hello @kaptinjack and Since early 2015, IObit's Advanced Systemcare (ASC) have been classified as Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUP) I am not aware of any reputable computer security expert who would recommend that product family. That ASC PUP classification has also been made by other Windows security products. If after carefully considering these warnings you still disagree and wish to have this PUP on your Windows computer, please consult the exclusion procedures follow. Reference: PUP.Optional.AdvancedSystemCare Thank you.
