Hello @flaxx:
Malwarebytes 5 for Mac was updated to v5.5.3.1605 a few hours ago.
Please update and reply to this topic and let us know if your iMac19,1's menu bar icon issue has been resolved.
Thank you.

Hello @icantchooseone:
We have been told that MBG v3.0.8 is in the works and hopefully a resolution is close.
Thank you.
-
Hello @flaxx:
You are correct. I did misunderstand what you posted and I apologize. The significant difference may be in the fact that your iMac has an Intel processor and mine does not. Please carefully reinstall MB5 per the following:
- Please save your work and quit all open applications.
- Download the current release version of MB5 for Mac.
- Restart macOS.
- Reinstall MB5 for Mac over the top of your existing installation.
- Restart macOS again.
Please update this topic with the version number of the MB5 reinstall and the results of the reinstall.
Thank you.

Hello @icantchooseone:
Thank you for sticking with this issue.
When you posted last, the Google Chrome browser was using MBG v3.0.5.
Please make sure Chrome is updated and upgrade MBG to v3.0.7, Clear Browser Guard storage, and Check for database updates.
Then, toggle Ads Trackers to the enabled position and retest followed by a reply to this topic with your result. If the condition persists, please generate a new Download Debug Logs and attach with your results.
Thank you.

Hello @flaxx:
Reference: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/314912-malwarebytes-for-mac-v541/If you see what I see in my attachment just above when you select the optional Malwarebytes menu bar icon then, no incompatibility is apparent since the release of MB5 for Mac v5.4.1.1525.

Hello @flaxx:
The latest MB5 for Mac release to General Availability (GA) version is v5.5.2.1604 which will likely soon self updates to v5.5.3.1605.
As you have pointed out above, since v5.4..1.1525, and if the user elects to install a menu bar icon, a new display replaces the previous optional pull-down menu and IMHO will and has continued through and to v5.5.3.1605.
https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/articles/31130189380627-Desktop-Security-for-Mac-5-4-1-Release-Notes https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/articles/31925736664595-Desktop-Security-for-Mac-5-5-2-Release-NotesThe latest optional pull-down is illustrated in the attachment below.
BTW, what you see on your iMac19,1, I also see on my MacBookPro18,1 running macOS 14.6.1 Sonoma and I have MB5 v5.5.3.1605 installed.
Thank you.

Hello @bryanschmiedeler and welcome back:
The reply given you by Thomas over a year ago for macOS 14 Sonoma applies today with MB5 for Mac and macOS 15/15.1 Sequoia.
The Malwarebytes management simply won't want their developers releasing code for a moving target.
Please look back at this subforum in a month or so.

Edit: As this is posted, macOS Sequoia betas are at:
15.0 is at Beta 6
15.1 is at Beta 2
