  1. At this time - that is correct. However, as applications/data are called from your network, they go through the same MB3 examination process as everything else does. HTH
  2. Hello @TDIII and You may go to My Account, login (or create an account) and select the Payment tab. Locate the renewable license in question and select the pencil icon near the bottom of that license window. A new window will open with the current payment information. Try deleting that payment information. HTH Reference: Manage subscriptions in My Account Thank you.
  3. Hello @loco and For any particular Malwarebytes 3 (MB3) driver, use the system's Windows Explorer to locate the driver of interest. Right-click that file and select Properties. When the properties window opens, select the Details tab. At the right side of the File description line is that driver's description in the Value field or simply hover the mouse pointer over the file name. That brief entry is usually the best public clue as to its purpose. As we are discussing a proprietary application, Malwarebytes management likely would not like much more being written. Although usually not necessary, placing all Malwarebytes executable/driver file names in the other AV product's exclusions might be made for future proofing. When all shields are enabled, about a half-dozen drivers should be found in the current release version for that purpose. 4. Hello @rmb1956 and Reference: MB3 Online User Guide - Custom Scan Are you able to tick other drives/partitions if a Custom Scan is chosen? Even if you are hyper vigilant, typically, non-system partitions need not be scanned frequently. Thank you and season's greetings to you.
  5. Hello @MrRyan2582 and A permanent solution for the above issue is to report such incidents. Please consider studying the Pinned/Locked topic at READ ME: Purpose of this forum. Then, if you wish, start a new topic within the Newest IP or URL Threats sub-forum following the rules above. You would be doing a good service for the Internet. Also, Malwarebytes is BETA testing a browser Add-on you may be interested in: Malwarebytes Browser Extension for Firefox (beta). Available for Chrome too. And, please do not overlook the use of Malwarebytes AdwCleaner for removing remnants of adware. Malwarebytes AdwCleaner may one day be made a part of Malwarebytes 3 (MB3). Thank you.
  6. Hello @Robert-: At this time, I believe the best course is to permit the staffers/devs to determine the next move based on the posted grab file. Season's greetings and Thank you.
  7. Hello @rubberswip: You have more than adequately documented a Malwarebytes licensing issue and is probably best resolved by the support team and you have already contacted them as witnessed by the trouble ticket number you published. However, if you already established an account at My Account, then, try logging in through https://my.malwarebytes.com/ and if your license key is in that database, try resetting it there. Today is Christmas Day holiday in the U.S.A. where the support team works. When the team returns from holiday on Thursday, they will return to their work queues. I am certain your trouble ticket will be answered in due order. Please be patient. Thank you always for your understanding.
  8. Hello @Shams21 and Thank you for purchasing the Malwarebytes 3 Premium license. The Windows system of the computer in question must have continuing Internet access to the Malwarebytes License Server. For the Malwarebytes product licensing procedure to succeed, this condition on that computer must be corrected in either of two ways: 1.) With a text editor or the Windows Notepad, please open the HOSTS file at: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\HOSTS Then, please permanently delete the following present entries in the above HOSTS file followed by a save: 0.0.0.0 serius.mwbsys.com 0.0.0.0 keystone.mwbsys.com or 2.) Reset the computer's HOSTS file to its default by following Microsoft's procedure for the version of Windows installed using: How to reset the Hosts file back to the default. Then, restart Windows and proceed to activate the Malwarebytes 3 product license. Please reply to this topic and let us know if the Malwarebytes license activation process succeeded. Thank you.
  9. Hello @Robert-: No. I truly apologize for the confusion. Things like that happen when another steals your thread... However, please reconsider selecting the Follow button near the upper-right corner of this topic. Thank you.

  14. Hello @JazzyJeffJax: Although other such sites do exist, it is likely that the most popular file integrity checker on the Internet is VirusTotal.com. If your adwcleaner_7.2.6.0.exe file is uploaded to VirusTotal, the analysis should exactly match: https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/8e75e3f6eafbea3c775dfbfd1c61dcb699e69e05265db6f295777b291f530e19/detection If it does not, delete the file and download from https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/ or the developers archives at https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/files/ and select the most recent Release version. Then, repeat the above integrity check process. Please post a reply to this topic and tell everyone how it went. Thank you

  19. Hello @8biosdrive and The prerequisite for the legacy MB3 version is Windows XP, Service Pack 3, x86/32-bit. Then, please read the announcement: Malwarebytes support for legacy Windows XP and Vista Operating Systems FAQ. MB3 Legacy Download: https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb3_legacy Please take note that the anti-ransomware module will not be enabled on a Windows XP system. HTH
  20. Hello @Deaglesor: Perhaps a conventional Google Chrome uninstall, through the Windows control panel (appwiz.cpl), would have been a better choice due to the "remnants" still present in the system's registry hives and the user's AppData Google directories, etc. A re-install of Chrome might now show the PUPs are still gone. And even if you are no longer interested in using Chrome, that new opportunity to uninstall in the best way would then be yours. Additionally, starting your own topic in the Windows Malware Removal Help & Support sub-forum would have given you the assistance of a staffer or a Malwarebytes approved malware removal expert along with a possible additional system cleanup. Viable 3rd party utilities are also available to assist in a very thorough removal of Windows installed applications. VS Revo Group's Revo Uninstaller (free or Pro) comes to mind first. If additional trouble is experienced, please give the above some thought or let the forum know here. HTH
  21. Hello @Mattchoo and Reference: Malwarebytes for Windows antivirus exclusions list Occasionally, mutual exclusions may need to be entered in both security product(s). The above reference contains a list of Malwarebytes 3 (MB3) executables/system drivers that may need to be entered into Kaspersky product(s) file exclusions list. Likewise, the Kaspersky's executables/system drivers may need to be entered into MB3: GUI > Settings > Exclusions (Tab) > Add Exclusion (Button) > Exclude a File or Folder (Button) > Next (Button) > Enter each individual executable/system driver > OK. Repeat until all the product's exe/sys files have been added. Unofficial addendum for the above reference: To future-proof, the following paths/filenames may need to be included in the other vendor's file exclusions: C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbamwow.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\malwarebytes_assistant.exe Please post a reply to this topic to let others know if this helped. Thank you.
  22. Hello @lazykins: I'll pass this to a staffer when they get back next week. This is likely a legitimate support addition and was not widely publicized. For now, I believe you can rest easy. Thank you.
