Hello @AndreyS and : As @Chas4 has wisely pointed out, it would be best to first update your Mac and then recheck your system's issue: macOS Ventura 13.5.1 Safari 16.6 (Updates along with the macOS update) MBG for Safari 1.5.0 Please reply to this topic after updating and let the forum know if that resolved the issue. I saw malware inside folder but can't delete it
1PW replied to AlfaVitaY2K's topic in Resolved Malware Removal Logs
Hello @AlfaVitaY2K: Though it may seem improbable, to most accurately answer your question regarding malware becoming invisible, I would ask that you run the log gathering tool, so your expert can analyze the logs first before answering. I apologize for the indefinite answer, but it's best to see the logs first. -

I saw malware inside folder but can't delete it
1PW replied to AlfaVitaY2K's topic in Resolved Malware Removal Logs
Hello @AlfaVitaY2K: Although you are given a generic download address for the Malwarebytes Service Tool that holds up for years for consistency, you will see that the file comes from our current Content Delivery Network (CDN) at mwdsys.com. For extra integrity checking, you may upload the unused utility file to VirusTotal.com for analysis. At the end of that analysis, you should see my endorsement of the tool at https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/596d5bdfccbe94a9ee90de56ad3e9c67dbea0b8e72f1a0bd4364f10b3b9a4080 You should note your copy of the downloaded tool agrees with the calculated SHA256 hash, and it's digitally signed and x.509 endorsed. Hello @FetzBox22: The year old MB5 FAQ does state the conventional Windows app uninstall procedure should be used. IMHO, there is some likelihood you may need to have used the newest version of the Malwarebytes System Tool (MBST) utility and choose the Advanced “Clean” reinstall option. Perhaps the MB5 team devs could reaffirm the latest? Instead, have you manually reinstalled MB4? HTH CC: @icolcear
