  1. Are there any other programs I should use to clean up this computer? Or does it seem to be ok?
  2. It seems ok. But I haven't tried adwcleaner yet. But I guess if you said there's no sign of an infection then it's ok?
  3. Removed everything except FreeRIP and YTD toolbars, Windows could find the path. Here are the logs: Fixlog.txtmbamresult.txt Can I delete the files from quarantine?
  4. Ran adwcleaner from the link you gave me and the same problem is back. All my memory is being eaten up by services.exe
  5. OK System Restore completed to yesterday. Everything works ok task manager seems normal and I can connect to the internet. But I'm pretty sure all the PUP registry entries etc. are probably back, should I scan and show you?
  6. OK will take a few minutes. After what should I do? Because it was after adwcleaner that I started getting this problem. But I do want to remove the PUPs
  7. It's the process services.exe. The only thing in the services tab that looks suspicious is the IPsec Policy Agent because its PID keeps changing and it links to services.exe. I tried to get ProcessExplorer on there but I get an "application unable to start correctly (0xc000012d)" error.
  8. Scrap that got onto my actual account and still have the same problem, 99% memory utilization.
  9. I tried to login normally but was given a temporary account. Any suggestions? Not crashing yet.
  10. Also wanted to mention that yesterday before I communicated with you I tried a system restore to 1 week ago and the computer worked fine. So I ran MBAM and that was fine. But after using adwcleaner I started getting the same problem with services.exe. Not sure if this adds anything. Hoping it's just a memory leak or something.
  11. Hi TwinHeadedEagle Thanks for your reply. I am currently unable to connect to the internet with the computer, the RAM is all allocated about 10s after login. Same with Safe Mode with Networking. I am booted in Safe Mode now. Is it ok to download this program on another computer? Can it be run in Safe Mode? Thanks. Hope to hear from you
  12. Just ran MBAM and adwcleaner on my desktop and removed some PUPs, but upon restart I ran into a bigger problem. I tried to run MBAM again just to satisfy myself the computer was clean and it started responding very slowly. Task Manager showed that services.exe was using nearly all my RAM (7GB+). I don't know very much about computers but I can follow directions aha. I booted again in safe mode and checked and the process is running normally with normal memory allocation. I ran MBAM again and it came back clean. Then I booted again normally but the same problem still came up. I checked the Services tab in task manager and found that PolicyAgent seemed a bit odd as its PID is constantly cycling which is not happening for any other processes. It is also listed under "NetworkServiceNetworkRestricted" as its group but links to services.exe as its process. And it's status is always "Starting". This happens about 5-10sec after login, so all I have time to do is open task manager before everything slows to a halt. Aside from that I really don't know anything or what to do from here. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! From what I've been reading it could be a backdoor Trojan but I have no idea how to detect it or try to remove it.
