It may well be. My son ran a quick scan with a Western Digital program on a thumb drive and it passed that. But it would not boot from a Windows installation disc. He took it home with him last night. I'll know more later today. Thanks for the link.

Thanks. I think it was a problem with my computer. I started having problems with other software this am and now Windows won't start. I'm in the process of sorting that out.

That's good to know Thanks. However, MBAW sill won't complete the pre-scan on this HP 600. Previous versions ran fine. Could it be a Windows Vista problem on my computer? It runs on my Sony Viao laptop with Vista. This is my 5th desktop along with 3 laptops in 20 years of being connected and this is the first time I've ever been concerned. Thanks for your help.

Same result. It ran in Pre-scan Operations for 4 minutes and I canceled the scan.

No luck. I ran FRST, log attached and then MBAW. The prescan ran about 2 mins and I cancelled the scan. Thanks.Fixlog.txt

I have uninstalled, reinstalled and rebooted several times. I used the uninstaller in the MW Start folder and tried again. I used MBAW-killer and tried again. I used Chameleon and tried again. All to no avail. Any and all help will be appreciated.
