  6. Yardbird, I dont know how many sticks of ram you have in your box or laptop, but if you have more than one, pull them out and test one at a time so you can see which one is bad, maybe only one stick is bad....

  10. once you reboot, launch Malwarebytes again and update it again... run another scan, perhaps a full scan and see if the rootkit still gets detected, if it does then you will have to seek help from the experts in the HJT section to get that rootkit taken care of...

  13. Glad you got it working, sometimes the hardware fails (especially cards like those) and all you need to do is replace them with the same model and they work find. Glad you got it going though.... Should you need anything else let me know.
  14. If you do not have a floppy drive installed on the computer, check the bios to make sure that it is disabled in the bios....
  15. Like Haider has stated, there is no reason to have ipconfig running every two seconds.... have you tried updating your Malwarebytes to the latest version and database as well and running a quick scan? Can you post the log so we can see it here please.....?

Although if you like, since you are infected you can seek help from the experts....   20. First things first, we have to make sure that the hardware works first off. Belkin has offered to replace the card. Lets do that first. There may be nothing wrong with the software on your computer, it could be the Belkin card all by itself. Once you get the card back come back and we can help with the rest.

  23. Hello and First things first.... 732 is an old error code that tells me you have an older version of Malwarebytes. You need to install the latest version following the steps below. Since you are infected with malware, it may be difficult to install the latest version so I will give you the instructions as well for seeking help from the experts to help you clean up your computer.. First Try This: Please try the following to see if it helps: Windows XP: Click on Start and select Control Panel Open Add/Remove Programs Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Restart your computer very important Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here NOTE: If you get SHGetValue failed with error code 0, that only means that the tool has nothing to perform, continue on with the next step.... It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates. Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or ask me and I'll explain how to do it.   24. OK the scan finished (of course I had to go to lunch too he he) and all it found was some left over stuff in Symantec Endpoint Protection Quarantine folder. I deleted all that stuff aside from that it came back clean.... LDTate I just wanted to thank you for helping me find the culprit to this issue and helping me fix it.
