  1. Malwarebytes and the tools we use do not work on a Mac. Do you use a router to access the internet, perhaps your router may be hijacked and causing these popups.
  2. Congrats on this new release, happy testing everyone.....

  4. MBAM_ERROR_EXPANDING_VARIABLES (0,9) MBAM_ERROR_MISSING_FILE (3,0, mbamswissarmy.sys) The system cannot find the path specified. Here's a fix that exile360 made, it is universal for XP, Vista and Windows 7 and should fix the problem: Note: If using Windows Vista or Windows 7 you MUST right-click on the file and select "Run as administrator". Please copy and paste the following text in the Code box exactly as written into notepad (not wordpad or any other text editor): @color 48 @echo off if exist "%allusersprofile%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu" md "%allusersprofile%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup" if not exist "%allusersprofile%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu" md "%allusersprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup" if exist "%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu" md "%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup" if not exist "%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu" md "%userprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup" del /f /q %0 Once you've done that click on File and select Save As... In the Save dialogue box click on the drop down menu next to Save as type and select All Files Name the file Fix.bat (the .bat extension is very important) Save the file to your desktop and double click it to run it if using Windows XP. If using Windows Vista or Windows 7 you MUST right-click on the file and select Run as administrator otherwise it will not work. Once that's complete try running Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware again to see if it now works without error or not.
  5. Just a quick question, is Malwarebytes finding infections during the scan?
  6. Hi, and Welcome to Malwarebytes! Since you are infected.... Please read the following so that you can begin the cleaning process: As we don't deal with malware removal in the General Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Forum, you need to start a topic in the Malware Removal forum so a qualified helper can help you fix any malware related problems/infections you may have. Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here. After posting your new post, make sure under options, you select Track this topic and choose Immediate Email Notification, so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post. One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available. Please refrain from making any further changes to your computer (Install/Uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc...) unless advised by a malware removal helper. Doing so can result in system changes which may hinder the attempts by a helper to clean your machine. NOTE: Please DO NOT post back to (bump) your topic within the first 48 hours. Replying to your own posts changes the post count and helpers are looking for topics with zero replies. If you reply to your own post helpers may think that you're already being helped and thus overlook your post. If there is no reply from any experts after 48 hours, you can reply to the topic, asking for help again. Or You may send a Private Message to a Moderator asking for assistance. Alternatively, as a paying customer, you can contact the help desk at support@malwarebytes.org or here. Please be patient, someone will assist you as soon as it is possible. PS: Please use the "ADDREPLY" button instead of other ones when you start replying.
  7. When you backup the C drive it is backing up every file, not sure if it can backup any files that are being used though as I do not use this software. Windows XP Professional The System State data comprises only the registry, COM+ Class Registration database, files under Windows File Protection, and boot files.
  8. This Microsoft Article provides you information on the system state.

  15. no those steps are only for vista and windows 7..... as you did not mention what your OS was I was merely guess you had either vista or win7.....
  16. it is quite possible that you have a virus on your computer that is not being detected by Malwarebytes. As the programs you are using are not anti-virus programs that could be why they are not being detected. It is strongly urged that you install an anti virus program and update it and then run a full scan to make sure.
  17. Well it could be several things.... do you use any P2P software like limewire, bittorrent, utorrent or the like? do you use Skype do you use messenger programs?
