Well, I DID remove my PC from the list and it worked. I also had a old notebook [Windows 7 base] with a NEVER EXPIRE license on it. It was my husbands' and had a separate license. I had to remove that PC from the list too. That PC had a NEVER EXPIRE license as far back as 2010. Will I be able to reinstall that license to that PC?

I had to reinstall the Windows O/S on my laptop and now I am trying to reinstall, on the same PC, my Malware Bytes Premium NEVER EXPIRE license. I downloaded the [.exe] file and proceeded to set up but the app is telling me... " device limit exceeded" I don't want to 'remove' my PC from the list in 'mymalwarebytes' website because its the same PC. What should I do to restore my license?

I would think this forum would be interested in issues like @garioch7 and would NOT make a fuss over this discussion. I, for one, am very interested in any updates dealing with this conflict. As I posted earlier, I want both programs. It is a safety net. I run another program (Ccleaner) and these three make (IMO) a fine triumvirate. I received a new computer 18 months ago and reinstalled the K program first then the MB program then Ccleaner. Upon suggestion of @Porthos I configured the MB ALLOW list for K, turned on MB's REALTIME PROTECTION and now no longer receive the message to turn it on. No fuss from K though K still doesn't get along with MB. Still, I would monitor what happens with @garioch7.

That is a tough question. A side by side comparison shows each to be nearly equal in strength. Kaspersky, however, has Safe Money which I have used for YEARS. Kaspersky also has a Firewall. But I am loath to give up my Malwarebytes. I feel it fills in the little 'holes' that might be lurking out there. What it comes down to is.... i want them both!

I am running a legacy license (Malwarebytes Browser Guard version 2.6.25) I have Kaspersky Plus. This software always reminds me that Malwayebytes is an incompatible program and wants it removed. (I will not) Malwarebytes wants me to turn on "real time protection' but I don't know if this will conflict with the Kaspersky Plus. Any suggestions?

Thank you for this good information. I found the "update" location and have done so. -

I received a warning window that my Malwarebytes program was corrupt, asking me to download now a new version. This window looked like a normal Windows style dialog box. I then clicked 'Yes' but then thought better of it and shut down my computer, rebooted and opened my Malwarebytes. It was running with all protections on. I am currently scanning. My question is, was this a spoof?

Malware settings - cannot Enable protections
BeeGeemb replied to BeeGeemb's topic in Resolved Malware Removal Logs
I suppose I should not be too concerned with the Java 6 uninstall issue so long as Java is allowed to update. There had been a security issue some months back and it was suggested to disable Java. My chief concern was any malware lurking on my system. I do try to make every effort to keep it clean, hence my use of Malwarebytes which now seems to be running in the background and no longer gives me a popup screen to notify me that it is actively updating. The older versions did this. Thanks again, MrCharlie -

I have installed Java 7 - update 67 I cannot seem to uninstall Java 6 and I cannot get the uninstall applet offered by Java to work. Apparently Java is disabled (perhaps in Firefox as Firefox seems to automatically exclude it from its plugins. I receive an "Error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run." All other programs (FRST, delfix) and their .txt files were removed. I have run Malwarebytes once again but I am wondering is there any other way of being sure my system is CLEAN? I have learned a lot from this experience. I DO applaud your perseverance, persistence and knowledge and I will certainly post a positive comment in your profile. -

Combofix has been run. The text file indicated 2 deletions although I am not sure if these were rootkits, virus, adware or.....??? Or if they could cause any troubles. ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( Other Deletions ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) C:\Users\a505-s6030\AppData\Roaming\inst.exe C:\windows\SysWow64\jgaw400.dll ==================================================== Interestingly, the folder Combofix, deleted itself as I was reading the combofix.txt report although the text file was saved outside of that folder. Is there a way of telling if my system is now free of any malware? I'd like to create a Restore Point if it is. Thanks again combofix.txt
