  1. Okay, first off, I know this one was my fault. I'm paranoid all the time, but I let myself slip. I built this PC in late 2010 and never even installed any sort of antivirus until the last couple of months, and after all that time I ran virus scans and malware scans and ended up with a total of about 5 suspicious files... that's how paranoid I am. But, I let my attention slip, and when I was trying to find a Minecraft patcher I completely forgot that the program is a tiny standalone file, not requiring an installer, and I (being in a hurry and annoyed) ended up grabbing an installer version from one of these two places: http://www.minecraftdl.com/mcpatcher-hd-fix/ http://resourcepack.net/mcpatcher-hd-resource-pack/ The installation resulted in some very annoying issues. The first thing I noticed was that, shortly after installation, Windows asked if I was sure I wanted to disable User Account Control. Of course I hit No... as soon as I happened I made sure I would get notifications ever time something changed. Sure enough, I started getting daily attempts to install files from my temp folder, such as "a.exe", "launcher.exe", "protect.exe", and some with random filenames preceded by "file_to_run". I bit the bullet and started running scans regularly, but the same programs have continued to pop up so I'm at the end of my rope and need some help. My Farbar scans are attached (yeah, lots of games...). Thanks a lot, guys! FRST.txt Addition.txt
