  1. Yes, I understand that, but that message appears three times in a row as I click update now over and over again. I would assume that clicking it once would do the trick, but for some reason on my computer I have to click it three times to get it to finally disappear. It's annoying.
  2. Well, I managed to avoid using my PC for more than a day and I booted up this afternoon. I am attaching a picture of the window that I receive. It looks like the problem persists. I will try the uninstall and reinstall the application (second #1 you suggested) and follow up in a day or two to let you know if it worked.
  3. #1 - checked the date/time and they are exact. #2 - I added the exclusions, I'm using NIS 2014. #3 - I checked the tab and there are no threats detected. It just scanned with the update that I got today when I clicked the button 3 times. I'm going to stop here and see what this does to the issue. If it corrects it, I'll let you know in a few days. I have the program set to notify me if the database is more than 1 day old. This is the notification I guess that I am getting as I had shut my machine down for a week (on vacation) and got the message on Sunday. Then I shut the lid and didn't open it until this morning when I received it again. I'll let you know if 1-3 did the trick. If not, I'll update and do the second set of steps to see about a resolution there.
  4. First off, SORRY for not replying. I thought the forum would e-mail me when there was a response, so I was waiting for a reply. I happened to just check the thread and saw your reply. This happens on an HP G62 Laptop. I am running Windows 7, 64bit edition with 8G RAM. This has been happening for about 3 months now, since about May 2014. The update states that the database is out of date and needs to be updated. You have two options, UPDATE or CANCEL. I always click UPDATE, and the window pops up again 2 more times until it finally goes away. It DOES update.
  5. When I turn on my machine and there is an update, I receive the pop-up window in the bottom-right of my desktop. I click UPDATE and as it disappears, another (exact) window pops back up. I click that one, and the same thing happens. When I click a third time, it disappears completely and my database is updated. Why does this happen 3 times? This has become annoying and I would like it fixed... any suggestions as to how?
