  1. Yes it is fine to lock this now. What's a bit funny is I only just received an email back from malwarebytes support yesterday.
  2. Finally did the trick, restarted a couple of times and scanned my computer a couple of times also. Nothing is coming up anymore. Thanks for the help Kevin!
  3. unhide it still has not shown my files the four files previously showing in my F drive under .exe are now gone also...

My folders on all drives remain as .exe's or no longer show still. F drive (main HDD) also seems to be infected and only showing 4 folders, however there must be folders if I'm using programs which aren't showing up. The folders which are present, are now .exe's as well.

  7. Hi. Currently my external harddrive and several USB's are infected with this folder.exe nonsense. The only thing which works to counteract this at the moment has been to disable virus protection programs (mb, avg). I have tried removing the virus with mb. However malwarebytes just deletes the entire folder with it. Is there a way in which I am able to remove the virus without deleting all my files and contents of folders. I have tried several ways I've found online and none seem to work, all from random sites. Hopefully someone here is able to provide some help. Thanks
