  1. I ran malwarebytes as I have many times yesterday on a Windows 7 laptop. After removal of malware, I was prompted to restart. After restart I saw a black screen with the pointer only. (The pointer would respond to touchpad movement.) I force quit, and tried to restart in safe mode, but the start up process froze while loading files. I preformed a Launch repair, but got the black screen with moving pointer. I enter boot options on the next restart (F8) and tried to enter various forms of Safe Mode, Repair Modes, Reboot Last Good Config. All had the same results: freezing during loading process or black screen, movable pointer. I found an entry on this forum that said I should download a file called FarBar onto a zipdrive, insert zipdrive in USB port, and choose Repair mode on Boot Menu of the laptop, but that didn't work either-same black screen. Are there any other options to try to reboot my machine? Thanks!
