  2. Hey- I did TDSSKiller and attached a log; I don't know if I did it correctly. I saw no "cure" option... Would you review? I did not do the ComboFix--that sounded much too complicated for me. After TDSSKiller, I did the clean install of malwarebytes and my original issue has been resolved. The Malicious Website Protection is now working. Thanks for your help! Nicole TDSSKiller.3.0.0.40_11.07.2014_18.25.09_log.txt
  3. Here are the AdwCleaner and Junkware logs. The Malwarebytes Threat scan found nothing. JRT.txt AdwCleanerS0.txt
  4. For Extended Update it said "no such file exists" Done Done;attached I'll come back and post with the AdwCleaner and Junkware results when I am done with that part. Fixlog.txt
  5. Thanks MrC. I'll do all this tonight when I get home from work. I'm curious though why I need to download all these other adware and junkware removal tools since I paid for a subscription to Malwarebytes for what I thought was a program that would do that for me. Why isn't that program enough to take care of my issues? Finally, as I mentioned in my first post, my stepdad gave me this PC and I haven't had one of my own for many, many years so I didn't even know I was running two anti-virus programs. I'll follow your instructions and just use the Avast. Currently the Avast firewall portion is turned off, so I assume once I delete the MSE and disable the Defender, I just go in and turn the Avast firewall portion on? Thanks for your patience- Nicole
  6. Hi- I've attached the requested logs. Thanks! Nicole Addition.txt FRST.txt malwarebytes_threatscanlog.txt RKreport_SCN_07092014_213850.log
  7. Hi- I actually already posted several log files on my original post that I linked to above. Are those useful to you? I won't be able to do the Malwarebytes 2.0 Threat Scan or the RogueKiller until tonight when I get home from work. Thanks- Nicole
  8. Hi- I posted over in the Anti-Malware Help Section and was sent here instead and I was told to reference my thread (hope I did this right): https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/152234-after-update-to-202-malicious-website-protection-disabled/?p=850597 My stepfather gave me this desktop computer as he said it never worked right for him (even though it's fairly new)---everything it has installed on it, besides the Malwarebytes, was on it when I got it. I'm not great with computers, but can follow directions if someone would review my log files from the other thread and see if they see anything off/wrong. The person that was helping me in the other thread said the machine might be "infected" This all started because I wanted to know why "Malicious Website Protection" wasn't working anymore for me. Thanks- Nicole
  9. I just reviewed the content of one of these logs and realized you all will know the secret that I downloaded the "Murder She Wrote:Return to Cabot Cove" game!
  10. Similar to recent posts by other users, I too am having problems after updating to version 2.0.2 with my Malicious Website Protection being disabled. Clicking "Fix Now" does NOT fix the problem. Attempting to fix the problem through Settings > Detection and Protection > Malicious Website Protection also does NOT fix the problem. Right clicking on the icon and checking the box doesn't work either... My going through the steps of completing and attaching these log files just about has me at the upper limits of my tech-savvynes--if you reply, it can't be with too many complicated steps. I bought the premium package so just want the software to work like it was before. Thanks- Nicole CheckResults.txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
