  1. Hi, There is another post with a possible answer, it did resolve my exact same issue. Search the forum on "malwarebytes crashes when definition update is attempted" The solution was an updated net.conf file.
  2. I had the exact same issue, this fix resolved the problem for me as well. - uninstalled version 1.? (i didnt note which version of 1 I had, I think it was 1.60?) - rebooted - ran malwarebytes cleaner 2x that I just downloaded. - rebooted - installed 2.0.2.1012, malwarebytes auto launches after install and starts to update and instant error - "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information." Maurice, can you please let me know: - what is the difference between your net.conf file and the original 2.0.2.1012 net.conf file? - what does your net.conf file do to resolve this issue? - will your net.conf file be included in next version of 2.0.2?
