  1. Topics on this are now closed, so sadly unable to express thanks that Pidgin website is now unblocked. It seems the original problem was hosting of an infected Office document. Which just goes to show that because a site is one visted for years doesn't mean it can't get temporarily infected, and one should not assume that Malwarebytes is producing a 'false positive'. Actually I didn't, which is why I posted here instead of just overriding the block :)
  2. Malwarebytes Premium 3.8.3 has been blocking the Pidgin chat client website for a week or ten days, due to a trojan. Please see attached screenshot. Thank you!
  3. Similar here, a day or two ago. Win7 x64 Pro, fully updated. Malwarebytes Premium would announce all realtime protection turned off, then on, then off... Roughly every hour. I think it was something to do with an auto-update to Component package 1.0.508. I restarted Malwarebytes, rebooted, to no avail. But eventually it sorted itself out and I've had no further problems. I manually updated other computers (Win7, 8.1, 10) to 1.0.508 once the original computer had settled down, and on those it produced no problems. A mystery!
  4. Goodness me, how dreary the world is becoming. Does anyone remember the Easter eggs in MS software, or the pirate messages in Avast? They used to make me chuckle. I'm a semi-retired "computer professional", albeit of no great eminence, but "Awesome! You're protected." makes me smile, as does the "Awesome! No threats found." in the popup after a scheduled scan. I smile because the word is a trifle silly, but anything that makes me smile gets my vote! My point is, people have different opinions and reactions. Malwarebytes can't please everyone. I wouldn't make a fuss if they obliterated "Awsome!", but a little bit of humour would vanish from my day.
  5. I have a mix of Windows 7/Windows 10 computers. Some Malwarebytes Premium, some Malwarebytes Free. On all of them, the upgrade to 3.4 has been flawless. My only wish is that the language preference should be maintained along with other settings. It isn't a huge problem to reset it to English (U.K.), which impacts date format for reports, but I have to remember to do it. Pretty please, could this be addressed at some future point? Otherwise, good upgrade. Thank you!
  6. Same thing here, always IP Address: Port: [68] Type: Outbound File: C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe Got me going a bit, even though I knew is no website, and dropped everything to do scans, which all came up clean. Lo & behold, log in here, see this thread, update database and all is well. Well done!
  7. Thank you so much for the information. What I expected, really, but worth checking.
  8. I've just installed Windows 10 as a dual boot on a Windows 7 computer. Windows 7 has Malwarebytes Premium and I'd like to install it in Windows 10. After all, it could only be active in whichever OS is booted. I suspect I'm being optimistic and I'd need a further licence, but if you don't ask you don't know! Please could someone tell me?
