actually I did select and remove all of them using 1.75 then I removed 1.75 and put 2 on instead. it installed successfully as I stated earlier. I have done nothing other than use your product that was not directed by you or the previous responder to my post. Please proceed with instruction, however realize that we have a time limit. This computer needs to be up and running by this afternoon.

after post scan clean un/reinstall of mbam 2.x still getting same error.

trying a full scan using that right now and then will uninstall and use mbam cleaner and try 2.x again.

another detail left out previously.,. Malwarebytes 1.X can be installed and updated with no issues.

it appears that file is missing.

malwarebytes crashes when update is attempted. Error message is as follows. Runtime error! Program: C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbam.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. Tried in safe mode, same result. uninstalled and reinstalled, same result. repeated again using mbam-clean-2.0.2.0 and then clean reinstall after reboot as directed on your site. same outcome. checked for rootkits using TDSSkiller - none found ran ccleaner, removed all items found, continued scanning until results were clean. still generating error after repeated clean un/reinstall using above mbam cleaner utility Would like to manually update definitions and run a scan if possible. logging tools have been downloaded and are waiting usage instructions. Thank you
