  1. Maybe not the best place to post this. I have killed off the daily full-screen nag from M$ to inform me that W7 is now no more. Fixed it by cancelling the EOS tasks in Task Scheduler.
  2. @sman @exile360 , interesting reading - thanks for that. Are you aware M$ is releasing a new Edge Chromium based browser which will run on 7, 8.1 and 10? Not sure of the date but I have been running Beta and Def version on a test PC running W7 Home Premium. Looks good but will possibly contain the same tracking.
  3. Concur with that. TU Readings: will monitor them as they are different to Firefox but that is to be expected due to update. @gatortail, thank you!
  4. Thanks for the replies. From this I deduct that by living on the other side of the world (so 16 hrs ahead of NY) and on the bottom side as well it depends on what I see. Only joking ! 🤣🤣
  5. @gatortail, it has not shown up on Chrome yet. Maybe they have not updated their store??
  6. Is this problem ever going to be fixed? Just saying - now being 8 January 2020. 🙏
  7. Firefox and Chrome are identical - they show Today =58 but blank on This week and No data on 2 weeks and 30 days.

  9. @exile360, I have been following this on another site "https://www.askwoody.com/forums/topic/hunting-for-an-elusive-win7-esu-license/#post-2039822"
  10. @sman @Porthos @exile360, thanks for all that info. I am not into all that any longer (TBO). I will just stick with my 3 W7 PCs and they will keep me going. I may purchase a new laptop with W10 and transfer some of my work on that. Pity that W10 does not support Home-group but them is the breaks. My main work which has kept me busy for the past 30 years are the Family Trees (8) going back to 16th century to present day. BTW. Wish you all a very Prosperous 2020! Better early than forgetting. 🤣👍
  11. Oh well such is life - never too old to learn. 🤣🤣
  12. Have been running the above for a while on my Windows 7 Home Premium x64 PCs. Would like a comment on this software please. "https://www.oldergeeks.com/downloads/file.php?id=1963"
  13. Read that article re MSE yesterday. One less nail in the coffin for Windows 7. 🤣🤣
  14. @David H. Lipman, I would not have a clue. I am past creating reg files. 2 old now. 🤣🤣
  15. @David H. Lipman, here it is. It can be disabled and/or deleted via command prompt: Disable: schtasks /Change /DISABLE /TN “Microsoft\Windows\Setup\EOSNotify” schtasks /Change /DISABLE /TN “Microsoft\Windows\Setup\EOSNotify2” Removal: schtasks /Delete /F /TN “Microsoft\Windows\Setup\EOSnotify” schtasks /Delete /F /TN “Microsoft\Windows\Setup\EOSnotify2”
  16. @exile360, thanks for that post. Have saved it as a docx file on my system. Also have tagged the article. Thank you! 👍👍👍
  17. @sman and @exile360, interesting posts. I intend to stick with Windows 7 Home Premium for as long as possible. The only change I may have make is change to a new Antivirus as MSE will no longer be supported. I was thinking of using Bit Defender Free. There is a website which I tracked down which may supply updates for W7 after M$ pulls the plug. I will dig it up and post it (just found it). hxxps://www.0patch.com/
  18. @exile360, sorry for my post. I concur with you as I am running W7 with MSE. I think the difference is that MSE is NOT part of W7 but a separate piece of software from M$. It overrides Windows Defender (part of W7). See: Action Center>Security>View installed antispyware programs. Just my 2 cents worth.
  19. Plenty of pigs available from China. Sorry could not resist this. 🤣🤣
  20. Tested and no problems. Took about same time. AdwCleaner[S76].txt
  21. @gonzothank you very much again. I will notify Brother's Keeper and I will get back to my Family Trees. 😀
  22. Thank you @gonzo. Received a reply from Brother's Keeper and was asked to try bkwin.org or bkwin.com - I found that the first one .org displayed the same symptom. So could you perform your magic on the .org site please. Thanks in advance. 👍 cc @AdvancedSetup
  23. @AdvancedSetup, I will post whenever I find a problem with MBAM Browser Guard in either Dev or Beta.
  24. @AdvancedSetup, it has never been a protected site as far as I know. I will send them an email with the same screenshot. Hopefully they will fix it. Thanks for your reply.
