  1. I have been using mbam 1.46 for about 5 years on an old XP machine. When 2.x came out I tried to update, but it caused problems and I went back to 1.46, just updating the database. That's worked fine for years until about 2 weeks ago, when updating the database, the program froze. (It's got to just be a coincidence that it's the week XP support ended. How could it be related?) After closing and restarting, I get the the following error message: MBAM_ERROR_LOAD_DATABASE (0, 5) After clicking ok on the message, mbam then closes. More accurately, it never opens and won't get past this error message every time. After searching the forum, I thought it might just be the a fault in the database when it crashed during downloading/updating it the last time, so I tried to manually replace the .ref file, but that makes no difference. Can someone tell me what this error message means? I didn't see it in the error codes FAQ list and the error message says to report the code to the support team. What is the solution?
