  1. To Porthos, The only Anti-Virus I have on my computer is Microsoft Security Essentials. I have added all the files and folders you have listed and also in the link. By copying and pasting into this programs Excluded Processes and Excluded Files and Locations. section. Will wait and see if it has cured the issue with Web Protection switching off, as it used to appear , after trying different things like uninstalling and reinstalling. Doing a clean install, that it was O.K.. Till starting up the computer a warning would come up Web Protection Switched Off. Still I have confidence your instructions will cure the issue, thanks for your time. Cheers. RayBellamy
  2. Hi, Please find attached files. Did not come out as a zip file hope that is O.K. There is also a file created after doing a clean install and a JRT file. If the problem persists I was going to try to revert to version 3.2.2 had no problems with that. Thanks for your time, RayBellamy. Sorry it has come out as a zip file, sent them all anyway. mb-clean-results.txt JRT.txt Addition.txt FRST.txt mb-check-results.zip

  4. Hello blinsinftw, I have a Samsung N210 Plus laptop which developed the same problem you were having,no brightness control. This happened a few years ago. The LCD display was on full brightness all of the time, which made using it uncomfotable on my eyes. This appears to be an issue with Samsung. The problem started just after the guarantee had expired. I also tried all different ways to sort the problem out, nothing worked. I contacted Samsung and spent over half an hour on the telephone, with a technician. We got the brightness control working. Next time I switched on the laptop it had gone back to full brightness with no conrol. I stopped using the laptop until I found out about f.lux. This program auto adjusts the brightness, you can also manually adjust the brightness with ( Alt-PageUp or Alt-Page Down). Could I suggest If you problems with the brightness on your Samsung install f.lux. I'm using my laptop again since. Cheers.
  5. Hi, Thanks for informing me of that, much appreciated.
  6. I have started to have the same problem with Flux when running a scan. I had to put 3 folders and 5 files, manually, for Flux, into the file exclusion. Which took sometime as I am not an expert with computers.Have these false positives been cleared? I do not want to remove them from exclusion and then have to put them back again, it took too long. Thanks from a learner. RayBellamy
