  1. @gatortail I went to tweaking.com twice today in the last hour, and MBG gave me that same error both times. I could whitelist the site, but it is a reputable site, so, in my opinion, this is an FP and it should be fixed. Thank you and have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  2. @gatortail I am glad that I took a screenshot, because I just tried again to reach tweaking.com's Forums after reading your reply, and this time there was no MBG warning. Go figure! ??? Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  3. @gatortail Thank you for your reply. I found my error. I had "allowed" www.philipacampbell.ca. When I removed that and replaced it with philipacampbell.ca, my SiteLock graphic displayed. I am running MBG 2.1.0. Now I have an FP report: tweaking.com. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  4. @gatortail I just checked my website again, no SiteLock graphic, even though MBG shows Ads/Trackers disabled for my website. I am running the latest version of Chrome on a Windows 10 x64 Pro computer, with all Windows updates installed, including that monster optional update from last week. Perhaps the problem lies there ... ? Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  5. The previous generation of this product, before it was renamed, always blocked the shield.sitelock.com graphic display for the home page of my website, unless my website (philipacampbell.ca) was modified to allow "Ads/Trackers", in which case the SiteLock display graphic would appear would appear on the bottom right of my website's home page. I have done the same with MBG (whitelisted my site to turn off Ads/Trackers protection), and it worked until today. I am not certain that it is MBG that is doing it, because I also have UBlock Origin and the Bitdefender Anti-Tracker, but I have whitelisted my site in both of those apps, and the SiteLock display graphic still does not display. More importantly, if I "Pause" MBG, then the SiteLock graphic does appear, so I am very suspicious that MBG is the culprit, and is ignoring my whitelisting. I even tried turning off all of the MBG modules for my site, but the graphic would still not display, unless I "paused" MBG. Would someone be kind enough to look into this for me? Thank you and have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  6. exile360: I was reading this topic. I have Bitdefender 2019 Total Security and Malwarebytes Premium 3.7.1 (current build), running Windows 10 x64 Pro, Build 1903. I have experienced no issues. Submitted for your information. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  7. @Munchkin I have been running MBAM Premium with Bitdefender Total Security for years now, without any issues. Bitdefender is, as you surmised, just covering their bases, in case MBAM or BD should have some type of incompatibility issue in the future, which, of course, both companies would seek to resolve quickly. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  8. I have been experiencing the same issue for the last two days. Regards, -Phil
  9. I encountered a "Can't Connect to Licence Server" upon boot on both my personal desktop and a client's desktop today. Neither computer is using a VPN or a proxy. In the case of my computer, I have Bitdefender 2019 Total Security installed, which has a VPN option that I have never activated, but that might have messed with the winsock catalogue when BDTS 2019 was installed. Interestingly, when the error message is acknowledged, and Malwarebytes is opened, all seems fine. The Premium account information is accurate. Submitted for your info. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  10. @gails I have been running MBAM Premium alongside Macrium Reflect (paid) for years now. There has never been any conflicts with the Macrium Image Guardian and either Malwarebytes or my Bitdefender Total Security. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  11. @rakeshsejwal Thank you for the clarification. It don't really welcome this behavior as a default, but the SiteLock URL is easily "whitelisted." Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  12. I am the owner of this website: http://www.philipacampbell.ca. This week I installed the Malwarebytes Chrome browser extension. I pay for website protection from SiteLock, and their logo appears on the bottom right of my home page. When the Malwarebytes Chrome browser extension is active, the SiteLock seal does not appear. Instead, a small picture with the words "website security" appears. When I add an exception to the Malwarebytes Chrome browser extension to allow ads and click bait on my site, the SiteLock seal appears again. It would be great if the Malwarebytes Chrome browser extension would default to permitting the display of the SiteLock seal on my home page. Thank you and have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  13. wanderer47: Thank you for posting back. I am glad that I could help you solve the mystery! Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  14. wanderer47: Just a thought ... are you using Cybereason RansomFree or CryptoPrevent? Both of these programs create "bait" files to attract a ransomware attack. If you delete the "bait", such programs will simply recreate them. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  15. This website is also being incorrectly blocked using the latest version of Chrome. 16. Similar problem here, just started a few minutes. I added an exception because MB was repeatedly issuing block notices. Here is my log: Malwarebytes www.malwarebytes.com -Log Details- Protection Event Date: 7/4/18 Protection Event Time: 2:06 PM Log File: 97329896-7fac-11e8-872a-1c6f65ccc00f.json Administrator: Yes -Software Information- Version: 3.5.1.2522 Components Version: 1.0.374 Update Package Version: 1.0.5765 License: Premium -System Information- OS: Windows 10 (Build 17134.112) CPU: x64 File System: NTFS User: System -Blocked Website Details- Malicious Website: 1 , , Blocked, [-1], [-1],0.0.0 -Website Data- Category: RiskWare Domain: crl.starfieldtech.com IP Address: 72.167.239.238 Port: [14831] Type: Outbound File: C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender Security\vsserv.exe (end) The file vbsserv.exe is a major Bitdefender component file. I can't imagine that it is sending traffic to a malicious site? Submitted for your information. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  17. @Vabadus The Android OS on the Samsung phone is version 4.4.2. Thank you for your continued assistance. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  18. @Vabadus Just an update. The feature does work, when the option is there. I found the procedure somewhat cumbersome, and after invoking the pause, at least with my smart phone, the option to pause again, after 30 minutes, did not appear. I had to reboot my phone. The option in my notifications screen came back temporarily and then disappeared again, until I went into the "Settings, Notifications" and unchecked and then checked again the "Allow Pause Notifications at which point the "Pause RTP for 30 minutes" option reappeared in the MBA notification on my notifications screen. I think that this still might be a "work in progress" or that it might be better to be able to deactivate RTP directly from within MBA. Nonetheless, I greatly appreciate the quiet backup of the applications on my phone, since I backup my phone weekly to both of my computers. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  19. @TempLost Indeed you did. I found the procedure somewhat cumbersome, and after invoking the pause, at least with my smart phone, the option to pause again, after 30 minutes, did not appear. I had to reboot my phone. It came back temporarily and then disappeared again, until I went into the "Settings, Notifications" and unchecked and then checked again the "Allow Pause Notifications at which point the "Pause RTP for 30 minutes" option reappeared in the MBA notification. 20. @moo4x This topic might be of interest to you. Please scroll down. It is a two-stage process to disable protection temporarily. Before anything else, make sure that you have the latest version of Malwarebytes for Android. Step 1: Go to Settings, Notifications, and ensure that you enable the Malwarebytes RTP notification icon and also check the box to "Allow Pause Notification". Step 2: When you want to actually suspend Real-Time Protection (RTP), you have to open your smart phone notifications, and there should be an option to Pause RTP for 30 minutes. Select that, and the MBA icon should disappear and the notification itself. After 30 minutes, it will turn itself back on. I hope this helps. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  21. @Vabadus Thank you for your post. I will test it out when next I backup my phone (Friday) and report back. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  22. @Vabadus Thank you for your post. No, I only selected the box in the "Setting", "Notifications", "Allow RTP Pausing ..." I saw no MBA icon, because I had turned that off. I don't like icons taking up real estate on my smart phone. I have turned the MBA icon back on, and now I can see that option. When I backup my smart phone again next week, I will test it again. Thank you for the clarification of how this works. I just thought that selecting the one item was sufficient ... Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  23. @Vabadus I am really sorry to have to report that activating: "Allow RTP Pausing from Notifications" had absolutely no impact on the issue. When backing up my smart phone on both of my computers today, with that option checked, the smart phone continued to buzz and show ransomware protection notifications while backing up the applications, via the SmartSwitch backup software. The ransomware module seems to be targeting my 64 GB micro-SD card in the Samsung smart phone, which only has a few photos on it. I would really appreciate this issue being fixed. It is very annoying and it has been going on for a very long time. Thank you and have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  24. @Rae0920 Are you sure that you have posted in the right Forum? This is the Forum for Android, which normally is found on smartphones. You make mention of your mother's "computer". I would recommend that you post in the Malwarebytes 3 Support Forum if it is her computer rather than her smartphone. I am not aware of a way to stop all pop-ups, but then I have never wanted to stop them. They warn me about an unsafe download or website, and I would rather know about that. You can add "Exclusions" under "Settings" if you know the sites/files are safe, but you might want to check out where your mother surfing when the pop-ups appear ... ? I hope this helps. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  25. @Vabadus Thank you for your post. I have updated my Samsung phone to the latest version of Malwarebytes for Android. I found the setting that you mentioned. I will be backing up my phone at the end of week, and I will let you know if the problem is resolved. Thank you and have a great day. Regards, -Phil
