  1. We had the issue here as well. 1. random sites not working--which started to expand to more users (more noticed it..) 2. had network guys look at it with wireshark-- they noticed that requests were not even going out of the PC-- pointing to something on the PC's 3. scans showed no viruses, do we suspected a program on there PC's---I suspected MWB 4. went to this site, found the "fix" and applied it. Did some people lose productivity? yep. Total time to fix-- prob two-three hrs.---- once we found it was MWB. (2k computers)
  2. Truth. "xxxxxxxxxxxx destroys xxxxxxxx with one, clap back, annihilating tweet..."
  3. sounds like a famous web/mail site...ya browse there yellow journalism "news" and it will randomly pop up a fake adobe site --which automatically starts a virus download. MS defender seems to catch it--wondering if its something MWB should be catching or not...
  4. ut..oh... im 46 I better not buy green bananas...
  5. airwolf...lol... watched that all the time as a kid.... Talk about maximum cheese factor lol
  6. you might as well figure that ANY med-lg place you work at is logging something. be it internet, screen shots, how much you use a certain program, etc. Of course they should have this set in their MWB exclusions so the average user never gets notified. on the other hand, the HOME version may want to flag more of these to the user.
  7. good god; the thing just booted in....installing latest now...lol. I shoulda got into ditch digging....
  8. right now? just that I cant get into windows to do it it crashes during boot with above error. can that file be deleted if I get into dos window?
  9. laptop started to BSOD at boot --wont fully start-- its running win 7 and ver 3.2.2.2018 of MBAM windows tries to repair, but gets this in the scan/repair results: "Root cause found: Boot critical file D:\windows\system32\drivers\mbamchameleon.sys is corrupt" I would rather NOT re-image this and re-setup a dozen programs.... any thoughts?
  10. Looks like the Dutch are going to have to shorten their words.... And your English is better than mine....
  11. agreed...I had a site that pops up a new window to start a training session/video....it has no title bar, no info to even guess what it might be blocking. a simple "allow this" button (maybe with double verification) would be awesome
  12. That and its a company that likes to pay its workers...and keep the lights on...and pay rent...and par for electric/water/A/C...and pay for insurance/healthcare/benefits, and etc..etc..etc..
  13. I will see about getting a log--but I don't have a PC here that has had the issue---all are in field.
  14. whoops-- I probably should have put this in the false positives forum....failboat.... please move it if possible.
  15. Clear.Form.Launch.zip here is the screenshot of the file its quarantine-ining... its part of our po-po software they use in their squad cars gonna try to zip it over.
  16. So we have a police program we run that gets flagged by MWB as a password stealer. anyway, this breaks the program, and we need to un-quarantine it. we go to quarantine to see what the "offending" file is and the path takes it way off the screen where you cant see it. and ther eis no way to double click or copy the info to get the full path can you make it so you can double click the quarantine item to open a new window to get the full path? or make it "copy-able" so we can add it to allowed items? that or just a button to "allow" would be useful. I could submit the file so you could check it out-- the police software company sez its "ok" and to un-quarantine it... thx!
  17. still working it...going to try a little more systematic approach the last laptop I updated it killed my gps--had to go to backup gps unit in the lapto that is on a different com port (original, now dead gps was on com3)
  18. Note, I am not sure this is a MWB issue-- just happens after this install, win updates, and java update. I wanted to see if you had heard of such a thing--please put this on "hold" until I do some more checking
  19. I have one of the "broken" sierra wireless here now... going to switch to internal (Panasonic) GPS to test
  20. so I babysit a bunch of squad computers. they all have GPS--either the built in GPS (Panasonic) or the GPS on the Sierra wireless/Verizon card It seems that all of the Sierra wireless card GPS is being blocked after updating to 3.2.2 I haven't noticed any pop-ups, but it looks like this is just on the sierra wireless GPS signals as of now. I am trying to investigate, and get more firm proof, but was wondering if you have heard such a thing. thx
  21. impossible...password is to short, or they would use a CAC card....fake. what systems says "access granted" they usually only will say "denied" if you get it wrong--people watching will see "granted" and expect something juicy and next level s@#%t the stacked windows-- all the same repeated crap...pointless, but looks good for tv Oooooooooo..."quantum"...sounds super secret....fake
  22. Pink Floyd.. Animals is on right now
  23. many peeps not on "mailing list" many folks never go to the dashboard
  24. would be interdasting to see if re-installation kills the mouse again. I don't see how, but I have seen stranger things...
