Malwarebytes spoofed?
wanderinpilgrim replied to E Pericoloso Sporgersi's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
Thursday August 11, 2022 I too recieved this request to review MBAM in my gmail inbox, which I wanted to do because I really love bragging on you guys. I googled - "does Malwarebytes request Reviews via "reviews@yotpo.com?" and this was the Only conversation I could find on the subject. The email said if I were unable to do the review on the email page, I should go here to submit the review https://landing-pages.yotpo.com/base/#/review?appkey=pddC6TNa3YaS9RbwJIZ4g3cy7imwudCgsC1LipMN&domain_key=mbam-c&email_type=targeted_product_review_request&font_color=051146&header_color=EBF7FE&mail_language=en&outlook=true&review_accept_one_field=true&review_images=true&review_title_required=true&reviewer_token=0f4748cd6212f21a5fba63a3b31ee39700953f34&skip_share=false&stars_color=E7721B&utm_campaign=map_traffic_success_failure_delayed&utm_medium=email&utm_source=map&white_label=full_white_label&submission_type=broken_email Virustotal gives it a clean bill of health yet I am still wary. So for me the question remains - are you guys partnered with this reviews@yotpo.com outfit? If I add the gmail to my spam folder, I do not want to inadvertantly be blocking Malwarebytes from sending me future email. Sure, I can just delete the email but would rather know that if I did the review - who would it actually benifit. Please advise, Thanks -
You guys are cutting edge with your tech but please do yourself a favor and spend a dollar or two on your Advertising Department. Here is what I mean by that. Year after year, you continually only describe the update as being “New And Improved”; surely you know that is the lamest and least interesting catchphrase ever, yeah? It's not the 60's you know. We are no longer getting excited when we hear that tired old description; in fact, we have grown to detest and even mistrust products that only claim to be new or improved. In your case, the very word "Update", in itself, infers that it is new and likely improved upon, for goodness sake. In the future, please simply inform us that an Update is available, okay? Faithful MBAM consumers, The Coopers

Hi; i am currently running MBAM Premium ver. 4.4.10 and today i'm being prompted to install a newer version. Was a new software update released today? From what i read, the most recent version came out in august; is that not right? My question is basically, what's so "new and improved" about this new version? I mean, the UI of my current version is perfect. Do I HAVE to install this update in order to remain secure? Will security updates, definitions, or whatever you call them, continue to auto-download and install as I have it set to do if I continue using my current version? Thanks, Kevin

Please Diagnose This MBAM Report

Done and Done! Thanks for clearing this up! -
My nightly scan has found these 3 PUPs twice now, even after i quarantine and delete them. I ran the eset scan on my App Data folder and it does not report a problem. My only anti-virus is windows defender and MBAM premium is my only malware program. Hoping someone will help me decipher this report and help me completely remove this or else say if it is a false flag. Thanks! malwarebytes.com.txt

Thanks. We already have an activated license and the 'register in windows' setting is already off. Now we will turn all the MBAM realtime, web, malware, ransom and exploit protection switches back on, correct? Now there will be no conflict with defender, correct? In the recent past, isn't it true that we could not run two different 'malware' scanners at the same time? Are we to assume that you guys have addressed this in your most recent version? We need to be sure that MBAM will not disable any Defender functions, yeah? Thanks again

Hi; we just installed the latest MBAM 4.1.0. We recently made the move to windows 10 ver. 1903. We are using the windows defender. With you newest version, can we now turn on your realtime protection and run defender at the same time? Thanks!

What updates does this refer to? I just installed the 3.4 ver the other day. I like mbam to run quietly in the background. How do i set the settings so i don't have to respond to this again? thank you

In my case, i was able to finally, somehow, uninstall it in windows 7 progams and features. Then i ran the clean tool. Two days ago i reinstalled mbam and all was well, but now i'm back to it turning off protection. Right now i have zero protection. I hesitate in trying another mbam install. Will it work this time? If i reinstall it again, will the real-time stay on? thanks

Everything was perfect until today. nothing on my pc is different. I have version 3.1.1; isn't that the latest version? my settings are set to automatically download any updates. I can't see myself going through learning how to reinstall the program with the chance of my messing things up (i'm not that saavy) or the whole reinstall process not even fixing anything. MBAM really needs to address this on their end; many other users are experiencing this. Do you tell all those people to do what you are telling me to do? Has your 'fix' worked for them? If so, i'm not seeing a thread to that effect. thanks
