  1. There is now an update in Mailwasher which can be dowloaded in Help, Check For Updates. Mine is now working again.
  2. For anyone wondering why their Mailwasher is not working, they have some sort of issue with it and are working on it. I submited a ticket to their Support and was advised of this however there is no announcement at all on the Firetrust website to let customers know. The advice I was given was to either wait it out (which I'll do), or uninstall and reinstall an earlier version. They also ask for no replies to be sent. They must be hammered with support requests at the moment so a notice on the website would perhaps have been good.

Although the issue does seem to be with Nord I will contact them to see if there is something else I can do but I can now at least access and work with emails by changing the settings in Nord. Thank you so much for all your time and help on this. It really is very much appreciated. My computer does seem better for it so a huge thank you.   4. Email only works if I switch off Threat Protection in Nord and (also in Nord) change the VPN Protocol to OpenVPN (TCP). If I leave VPN Protocol on Auto (Recommended) then even with the Threat Protection toggled to Off, the email issue still persists. I tried to put the GMX email site onto the Excluded Domains list but for that to be functional and not greyed out it seems to need Threat Protection togged to ON - and then it still does not work. I don't have any knowledge about VPN Protocol etc... so not sure what risks there with the above settings or if Malwarebytes would be all I need? thanks again.
  5. So... i reinstalled Nord - an unfortunately the email issue is back again. It looks like it is Nord. I wondered if it might be clashing with Malwarebytes? I toggled one of the settings - Web Protection - to off. I have attached a screenshot of what that covers - and I wonder if I need that if I'm already running Malwarebytes? many thanks
  6. Sorry but a quick question - do I need to close down Malwarebytes for the scan? If so I can do that and pull the plug on the ethernet cable to keep the computer offline.

  8. Hi again Yes I'm really please to report that the email issue seems to be resolved. Are you able to say what the problem was? Was it malware or virus etc...? Also, can I reinstall Nord? thanks again
  9. Hello So - I have reinstalled MS Office - by logging in to my Microsoft Account and inputting the product key. I was not having any issues with it as far as i could tell. I've not used it much since the new installation except to just open a Word document and it seems ok. Re. MS Money - I'm aware this product was discontinued some years back and that it is no longer supported by Microsoft. Until about 5 months ago I was able to use it with no probs - however - since then there has been a problem where after opening it, and making the first entry I get an error message and asking if I want it reported back to Microsoft. When I click Yes - it does that and closes the program. I then reopen the program and all is well from then on (until I close and reopen the prgram again). I can work with that. However - I did uninstall it today - as there is no repair option via the Control Panel route - after reinstalling it again the same problem is there - but I can live with it. I have not yet reinstalled Nord. I have also done a new Farbar scan - results attached. Thanks again for taking so much time with me on all this. Addition.txt FRST.txt

  16. Hi again Before I run the fix can you check you are happy I have changed the DNS? I went back in to the settings and they were still as I changed them (I used the Google ones) - I did look at the link Porthos sent and the video and neither mention the ipv6 so hopefully I have done this correctly. I have again changed the DNS setting this time using the Cloud Flare ones and this time I have also input the ipv6 ones too. Is there a way for me to screenshot here what I'm looking at? thank you

  18. Hello I have worked thru the above reply. Thank you for that. When I did the AdwCleaner there was one preinstalled software which was unticked so I left it. The PC did not reboot so I did that too and then found the file you need. The email issue is still the same but working fine on an ipad. I notice the browser sems to be really slow at loading some pages especially if I go to the GMX website to view email - it also does this for banking sites and various other sites. Ditto with Google Chrome. I have seen a message in the bottom left corner saying Resolving Host. It also does it for the Mailwarebyte main website.   20. Hi Porthos I have worked thru your reply above and changed the DNS (to the Google one) but unfortunately the email issue still occurs. I have also looked at the How To link and flushed the DNS. General browsing does seem faster although I do notice quite a lot of Resolving Host in the bottom left of the screen. This was also the case before I changed the DNS. I can use GMX email on the GMX website from an ipad which makes me wonder if it's at computer issue. Thank you.
