  1. Don't get me wrong, I like 2.0.x, but I liked the old version more, especially its UI, which was a lot more robust. I went to the download page but I do not seem to find a download link for 1.75 anywhere. Did I simply miss it or is it impossible to get it now from the official source? Thanks in advance.
  2. I see, thank you. It has been already added, just thought I'd request some more info on it.
  3. Hello, MBAM 2.0 blocks Tiranium AV's Startup Manager component, StartupRun.exe, as PUP.StartUpManager. File, along with detection log attached. Thanks in advance. MBAMFP.zip
  4. Congratulations to everyone who participated in the development of such a fantastic product. KEEP IT UP!
  5. That means they're doing their job perfectly.
  6. Conspiracy! I like it! In all seriousness, I'm not suprised at all. As the article mentioned, Uroburos is not the first and not the last piece of malware that can be connected to intelligence agencies. Well, let's see if the connection can be proved!
  7. Some antivirus programs actually utilize this to disable them, right?
  8. I underestimated the potential danger of it. I'm sorry. But as I don't like to leave things unfinished, can someone still help me with the error?
  9. That is true as well. Thanks for the useful replies guys. Appreciating it.
  10. Yes, I've heard about such malware, but I thought it was really rare. If one actually manages to slip in the host, the security (AV, MBAM, MBAR) will still be able to stop it anyway, no?
  11. Hey everyone! Today I decided I'll set up a virtual machine and do some malware hunting. I've downloaded VirtualBox and went through the steps of setting it up. I've run into the first error immediately, which was "No bootable medium found", but I solved that one. Now, I get "CDBOOT: Couldn't find NTLDR" everytime I start up. I googled around, but didn't find anything meaningful. Hope someone can help me. Mateotis
  12. That's a great one. I have a Nikon too, but I don't really use it that much. Well, I may just try to after this, haha.
  13. They look awesome! What kind of camera did you use?
  14. While I'm running Win 8 and I don't have any problems with it, this is not cool from Microsoft to say at least. What they should be stressing is that after support is cut, XPs will be VERY vulnerable.
  15. Whoops, ninja'd by daledoc1, haha. Sorry for the essentially same reply. ^^
  16. There is a software called Zemana AntiLogger that protects from keyloggers. It's been working fine for me so far, you could get it to avoid such things in the future. To your other questions, MBAM can block IPs for numerous reasons, but the fact that it's always trying to connect to the same IP every time is suspicious. Quarantined files are isolated from your system and thus can't cause anymore harm. Good luck with everything!
