nanotek replied to nanotek's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
Hello dcollins & Firefox, I've got all the KBxxxxxx-Patch Tuesday (Pos ready) since 2 years, and MBAM was functioning two months ago. What happened after these 2 months ? I thank you for your friendly help ! -

@dcollins, I'm not a XP POS2009 machine (XP SP3 Home + KIS) but I have a lot of KBxxx (every patch Tuesday) my PC simulating a POS2009 machine until 2019. Do you think that I can try, or only this KB4074852 is the only one concerned ? Thanks for your commitment ! -

I don't understand your question, I did EXACTLY what you asked me to do with (mb-clean uninstall/Re-Install) I have uninstalled MBAM by the Control Panel, because when, BEFORE, the well-known Error message appeared when I tried to launch MBAM, NOW, It appears when I boot my PC. MBAM could not be launched ... I am going to try It and I intend to inform you Thanks for all ! -

@firefox, 1 - I have installed at first mb3-setup-consumer-3.3.1.2183-1.0.262-1.0.4092.exe => same error message than in my first post. 2 - When I launch mb-clean 3.1 I'm asked immediately to reboot and not at all according to your procedure. 3 - After reboot, mb-clean 3.1 download and install mb3-setup-consumer-3.3.1.2183-1.0.262-1.0.4092.exe 4 - I don't know if the version in my PC has been removed first... But I get again the same error message than in my first post Sorry for my bugged english ! I'm afraid i must forget MBAM ! ! ! Thank you for your patience mb-clean-results.txt -

nanotek replied to nanotek's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
Hello, exile360, " As for a Full Scan, that will vary greatly because of the number of files and the types of files. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware does not scan all file types, as it skips files that are not executable and it also does not scan zip/RAR or any other type of archive files. Your current scan times sound correct for most configurations, at least for the Quick Scan, the Full Scan depends on how many files were checked etc. As for the difference, you say "Before", what exactly does that mean? Before what? A previous database version or program version? If so, then that is also to be expected as we have made many improvements to speed up the scanning engine lately which will reduce scan times greatly in most cases. " Thanks. You are right. "Before" meant that the number of files checked (Full scan) was the same (# 205 000) The program version is the same -

Hello Firefox and exile360 Please, could I beg you to shoot the 2 scans of MBAM (COMPLETE and RAPID) on your own pc ? ... and forward me your durations ? Thanks for help ! -
Good morning, I'm french => Would you be kind enough and forgive my English ? I'm afraid I've got a problem with MBAM, about the durations of the scans. Maybe it's the same by you ? BEFORE => 206 000 elements with COMPLETE Analysis : MBAM took 31 minutes. NOW, 9 minutes only BEFORE => 159 000 elements with RAPID analysis : MBAM took 16 minutes. NOW, 1 minutes only I have, of course re-installed MBAM but => no change for the durations of the scans for info, I join the 2 logs of this morning, saturday may-2011-07 : ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.50.1.1100 Version de la base de donn

Average duration of a scan. What is "normal" ?

Hello ! to Firefox => Thank you, I sleep better, now... -
Hello, I'm french, please forgive my english... My config => XP Home 32 bits + CPU Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 @ 2,4GHz, 3,0GB RAM. - Before, with the 1.44 and 1.45 version, a complete scan of 178 000 "elements" on my pc took 25 minutes. - Now, with the 1.46 version, the same number of elements (178 000) are scanned in only 12 minutes ! Maybe could you give me an explanation about that difference ? Thanks a lot for your explanation ?
