  1. Hi, I have been getting a lot of "File could not be opened" warnings when scanning with malwarebyes. I reduced the messages drastically by getting Firefox to delete temporary files at end of session and using a Windows cleanup utility, but the warnings at the bottom of this post persist. I suspect that the files might be left over from a windows update or something and may no longer be needed. I do not know why malwarebytes cannot open them. They do not seem like the kind of folder that contains active files. I am not sure how much danger there might be that they could hide malware. I asked about this in the Anti-malware forum and was refered to this forum. It seems unlikely that the unopened files habour malware but I would be much happier if I could be sure. Can anyone offer any pointers? Thanks. .......................................................................................................................................................
