  1. Interesting. I'm just noting my observations. Today, the video playback was blocked for me again with uBO and Browser Guard. It was unblocked when I turned off Browser Guard's Ads/Trackers blocking but I left uBO on. I just turned Ads/Trackers back on, cleared my cookies and cache like before, and I was able to watch youtube like normal with both uBO and Browser Guard on.
  2. I was looking at and changing some browser settings on Firefox unrelated to Browser Guard when I noticed it reacted to something. When I checked, this is what I found. I wasn't even on this site when these detections happened. I've only every been to this site on my iphone and I wasn't even on this site there either. I am logged into my google account on both. I did a scan with Malwarebytes Premium but it didn't find anything. Am I safe? Why did it detected/blocked this site even though I wasn't on it?
  3. I watch youtube logged in to my account. So far, I can stave off the anti-adblock by deleting browser cookies and cache but it eventually comes back.
  4. I mainly use firefox but I occasionally go on chrome too. And yes, I am signed in to my google account.
  5. My friends aren’t getting this either. I found topics on various discussion sites and forums related to anti-adblock going back to May, 2023. It seems to be rolling out slowly.
  6. It used to allow me to close out of that message. Then it put a timer on the X. Then it gave a me final 3 video limit. Now it just stops the player from running. Other browsers worked for a little while before being blocked. I am using uBlock Origin and MB Browser Guard.
  7. YouTube has been cracking down on ad-blockers and it seems MB Browser Guard's Ads/Tracker blockers is not immune. Any advise on how to deal with this other than to turn off the Ads/Tracking blocking? Thank you.
  8. So other than needing to upgrade my windows and general clean-up, my PC is clean of any viruses and malware?
  9. I attached an image of what it looks like when it says "failure to configure windows". This is not actually from my PC, just an example image I found on Google. And no, I don't have a external USB to back up my system at the moment.
  10. After installing the update in step 2 of the security and rollup updates, I restarted my PC as instructed in step 3 and it failed to configure my windows. The changes were then reverted. Should I try again or move onto the next step?
  11. All of the updates download link after the Easy Fix step is blocked by Firefox as a potential security risk. Please advise.
  12. My Windows Update shows I'm already up to date. Am I downloading and installing all those updates starting with "Windows Update Client for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2: July 2015"? The updates on that list has dates back to 2019. How do I know if those were installed or not already? How do I know if I'm running SP1 or not?
  13. Here is the MSERT log. I also attached a screenshot of an odd phenomenon with Malwarebytes when I opened it after finishing the safety scan. I was reactivating all my real-time protections. The UI became completely unreadable. I closed and opened it again and it fixed itself. I don't know if it means anything, but just thought I mention it anyways. msert.log
  14. I won't be home for the next few days. I'll run the scan and upload the log when I return. Thank you.
  15. Ok, how about these? Close or exit them too? Not sure if some of these can be closed. Top 4 are Intel HD Graphics, ELAN Pointing Device, Bluetooth Devices, Hotkey. Middle 4 are VIA HD Audio Deck, CCleaner, Intel Driver & Support Assistant.
  16. Since I'm disabling my real-time protections, is it okay to disconnect my PC from the internet during this process? After I downloaded the scanning tool, of course.
  17. Let's proceed with those other scans. Tell me what I need to do.
  18. Is this a potential problem in the fixing process? I don't have another PC near me I can use unfortunately. I did make a new System Restore point.
  19. Yes, I would like that. All Avast has told me to do is clear my browser cache and cookies, and monitor the situation.
  20. I don't know if I am infected or not. I recently got several of these alerts on Avast for roll20.net, a site I use quite frequently. That it blocked connections to s3.amazonaws.com because it is infected with URL:phishing. When I scanned my system with Malwarebytes, Avast, and Superantispyware, nothing came up except a few tracking cookies. I tried looking around and can't seem to find anyone else experiencing this issue. I did some research on amazonaws and it seems to be some sort of cloud service, but there is that s3 in front. When I reached out on the Avast forums, all I got was that the administrators of roll20.net may not be diligent in keeping their security measures updated and their site might not be as secured as it should. They assured me the WebShield should have blocked anything malicious from getting through, but maybe I'm just being paranoid. I want to be sure that nothing snuck past. They also moved my thread to their "Viruses and worms" sections. A bit of background. I use roll20.net quite frequently and when I type the url into my browser directly or navigate to it via my bookmarks, it doesn't trigger anything. I think the trigger is when I try to go on roll20.net via a google search link. Sometimes I want to look up specific pieces of information on roll20.net and it's faster for me to enter the keywords into google and have the search engine pull up the specific page on roll20.net instead of navigating the website myself. I do it this way because the website has a rather clunky UI and it's a pain to navigate unfortunately. I don't know if it's those encyclopedia/compendium pages on roll20.net specifically, because they have images on them that they may or may not be hosting. These alerts seem to have started a few days ago for me. I had one on March 31st, then on April 2nd. Before that, I would do what I described above all the time. Look up something on google that I know is on roll20.net, and click on the link to get to that specific page directly. I have attached the requested logs. Can a professional look them over and see if I may or may not be infected? Let me know if you require anything else. MB log_2023.04.03.txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
  21. So what do I do with the 3 files in quarantine? I'm assuming don't delete them since it's a false positive. Can I take them out of quarantine?
